To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hello! What version of Flashburn did you use to read rcdb_data from your HM788?

I use flash burn version V5.00.01.003 and in reading files. DAT does not appear numbers or letters, only 0 appears, in large numbers.
Do you have a version for hm788?

Flashburn V5.0 can read data only from PD/MD radios with firmware version not higher than 7.0x. Check your PM

So... Here is a little trick I've learned. Ever notice that if you do a firmware update on a passworded radio it goes thru just fine? And this process involves reading, updating and rewriting the codeplug as part of the process.
If you sniff and capture all the usb data during this process you can find the password. Take a little knowledge to know what you're looking for, but it's there.

I am also looking for guidance on how to remove the read/write password and push a new codeplug to the radio. I have a MD782 with firmware 9.00.07.105

I'm not sure to be honest how is the best way to find it? I have the programming software but the radio has a read write lock on it :-( the CPS software is version V9.02.02.003.iM.EM5
That was a question about the radio firmware version, not the CPS version...

So, with A6.05 FW should I bother with flashburn (I can't find it anyway )? Or just upgrade the FW, like follow Just a quick guide on Hytera cps password protection? I do not have the Upgrade kit :/
