Not under warranty anymore,it’s about 4 years old, it’s strange because the scanner seems to work great otherwise

If you send it in for repair out of warrenty Uniden charges $80 flat fee plus another $10 to ship it back.

I think you are correct, based on what another member was told about the status of his repair or replacement of a scanner that had already been in twice before.

SDS100/SDS200: - Third time repair - now gone indefinitely

My SDS100 lemon went back in for repairs 3 weeks ago for the third time. The first time was a Q1/Q2 repair. The second time was the cold solder joint. After it returned, it functioned for an hour and it appeared the csj issue returned. I spoke to Uniden, and they asked me to ship it back so...

well I tried the weather frequency and it comes in loud and clear, it just appears to be that I’m just out of the range with this scanner on the San Diego County RCS p25 south site, so maybe the new antenna I ordered will pull it in better will see, Anyhow Thanks all for the info and help,It’s crazy how one scanner has no problem getting it and the other one has issues with it,with them being programmed the same
