Icom: IC-718 Main unit Problem.

Hallo
Here I have problem with main unit of icom 718. when i install main unit to icom 718. it cannot power on. But if I swap with another main unit it can open it. so i expect the main unit problem because cannot power on. can anyone help me . how to detect why that main unit related with power on the icom 718. Becaus i check the component is going well.

Icom IC-718 main unit? The IC-718 is a monolithic radio. There is no separate main unit as far as I know.

its separate main unit pcb. thats why i want someone to help me about this. cause i check all the component is good..but no power if use this main unit .

No. that icom 718 have power board. but power board just okay if using another main unit. but if i using that main unit problem it cannot working. thats weird.

The 718 uses an outboard (separate) power supply.
The last time I looked at my 718 there was only one main board.
When you use "main unit" please tell us the function of this item.

The IC-718 has six circuit boards which Icom names: Main Unit, PLL Unit, PA Unit, Filter Unit, Logic Unit, and Front Unit.

Like this.. I am technician to repair the icom 718. So i have many mainboard as spare part. so i change the mainboard to try and error.. so when i try one by one to diagnose.. so i get that main board make the 718 not work. when i try another main board with the same power board. the 718 function. so thats why i need anyone to help me. cause i check all the component of the mainboard is good. is it clear sir?

yes this is i know. cause i already refer to manual service pdf.
