This really looks cool for PC control and more with the 7300-

Mike
I'm now employing my SDRplay RSP2 to provide the data for the Spectrum Scope in Win4IcomSuite. The advantages of using the SDRplay for the Spectrum scope are:

- Refresh rate up to 50 frames per second vs. 4 frames per second for the native 7300
- High resolution: Up to 16384 data points depending on the zoom level vs. 475 for the native 7300
- Mouse enabled zooming and panning

Hello,
Who’s using this radio for their utility receiver ? I have read a few pieces that many swl and utility listeners purchase transceivers for this purpose.

I’m looking at this to replace my Icom 746 pro.
Welcome any thoughts or experiences.
Cheers
Chris

746Pro has an awesome Rx!
It even has AM Sync deteciton!

I miss the one I had!

Did you consider getting a loop like the W6LVP for HF? Loops are very good at rejecting noise. There are any number of folks I have read about having to be stuck with indoor antennas but found a loop to be a good alternative...

Mike

I have two loops and they did. for the most part, nothing. The RFI is amazingly bad here and the only HF listening I've done recently is at a friend's house and with an SDR in my car. Not ideal by any measure, but tolerable.
