Are they going on their own separate system or are they actually going to be joining Westmoreland, ICORRS?

Butler County has begun the process of building out a site on this system. It appears as though they are going with Phase II, 800 MHz. There are no new licenses or applications in ULS yet that I've seen.
Oh, okay. I didn't get a chance to read any of that. I was just going by what was in the network configuration. They have six 800 MHz channel pairs entered, but those must just be placeholders. If I read the bid spec correctly- 700 MHz . . . . . And since the licenses are handled differently on the 700 MHz spectrum- u might not see a license show up for a while.

Why are they are abandoning their UHF 470 megahertz system? Bear UHF system works really well and I can pick it up here in Allegheny County I'm just a little rubber duck full-scale.
It will be interesting to see.As of now NYC and others are fighting it.If it does go i don't foresee it happening for a few more years. That being said this is just my opinion we will see how it plays out.I think Allegheny county is going to be okay I don't see the FCC taking the UHF T Band Away
LA city fire on 800mhz analog no trunking.LA County fire 470mhz analog Chicago pd in the 460mhz analog.Chicago fire went p-25 conventional dispatch with analog fire ground getting off of the vhf.It remains to be seen but I don't see t-band leaving anytime soon.Just my opinion as always.Thats my thing. There are these major cities that are on 470mhz and dont have any plans of moving. NYC, Chicago and LA come to mind.
