ICR20 with a backlight issue

Hi, I recently get a almost new ICR20 and I am very happy with the performance, but only has one issue, the backlight dont start up, the seller told me that and I knew that, so I will let the equipment to a good friend who is technician, just in case, if someone has info or leads about what is happening, please let me know, Thank you and 73!

It is quite possible that the previous owner just turned off the backlighting completely in the menu setup. The choices are ON/OFF/AUTO.

Unless you want to keep all the settings and memory that the previous owner had, you might just want to do a total reset to get back to factory settings.

Yes, I check the menu but nothing, also do a complete reset, I guess there is an internal problem with the Leds ... I saw the "service manual" but I can´t reach the page who refers the ilumination or backlight sector. maybe a diode or resistor are bad, any leads? thank you.
