If your existing router has a WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) function which most now do, look for a bridge that also has that function. This is what I use for quite a few applications:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018YPWORE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

All you do for setup is connect the bridge to a power supply, when it boots up press the WPS button on your router, and then press the WPS button on the bridge. The bridge will then automatically connect with your router (you don't need to search for a network or enter any passwords and you only need to do this step once). At that point, the RJ45 jack on the bridge is functionally the same as a RJ45 jack on your router.... connect any device to it with a cat5 or cat6 cable that would ordinarily need to connect to your router's RJ45 jack and setup your device (SDS200 for example) just as you would if you plugged it in directly to your router.
Wow that sure seems much simpler to do. Thanks

My question is which place will have it soonest? I'm headed to Hamcation in Orlando & had hoped to have in hand before February 8th.

If anyone knew that they would already be sold out by now LOL

Dimensions are in the first post, second bullet point: 1.5X Din-E (180 mm x 75 mm) chassis

....Dimensions in inches anyone? (I am American) ;-)

As posted several times it is the same width as a 996p2 and 1 and 1/2 times as tall as a 996p2 there are even pictures posted with them side by side.

Furthermore, DIN is an industry standard "size" (w x h) so "1.5 DIN" is a perfectly clear unit of measurement (the multiplication of the DIN size refers to height).

ScannerMasters just posted a video on their Facebook page of the SDS200 on different bands. Sounded pretty good.
Video Link

Pretty useless video. Full signal strenght reception. The only time you got lower signals where in the beginning with railroad 160MHz at 2-4 bars but no comparison to older scanner, that could be receiving it at full strenght all bars. When you show something it must always be in a comparison to something else. ScannerMasters house migh be next to the railyard and the SDS200 had a terrible reception at 160MHz.

When you do videos do not just demonstrate how it scans and receives all by itself without any reference.

If the router is on the same desk, could I skip the bridge & go directly into the router?
