Prudent idea is download the software now for your model(s) and save those program installers, firmware updaters etc. so you will have those available for use for the future. Otherwise who knows what the future holds for their availability?

We’re downloading the heck out of those files…

Yes grab what you need now….I have seen no updates on their repair service. As much as everyone would like to get updates, new radios etc., at this point, even if full communications with Whistler is restored, why would anyone want to deal in the future with a company that seems to disappear with no explanation.?
Even if they apologize, reorganize or by some miracle announce a new radio, would anyone trust them again?
I am certainly not a Uniden fan in everything, but at least they are currently an active company.
As they say, I think we should take our lumps and move on. A shame, but that’s life.

Just noticed this from the results page of a Google search of "Whistler Group". I wonder if it just means that the location they recently moved from is now closed....

I really don't get some of the posts in this thread. They are very clearly moving to a new location, and while they certainly could've handled that move better and had the new location setup for operation ahead of time, it is what it is. Their website is still fully operational, and if you add a scanner to the cart you get the following message, which seems perfectly clear enough.

We are currently in the process of moving to a new office and warehouse. During this time, our online store will be unavailable. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

A few radio shops in the UK have the TRX-1e and TRX-2e scanners back in stock again. They must be coming from somewhere...

It's a lot of Panicky Petes jumping to conclusions.

I had one person state that his radio was going to be a useless paperweight. As long as you have the EZScan software, you can always program the dang thing manually.

Not a worry for me! I program all of my scanners manually using Excel files and software. Perhaps, some users will need to read the manual for the first time and actually learn how to program scanners.

Agreed, however my concern would be warranty and repair. I can always figure out a way to program but I cannot easily fix a bad circuit board etc.
Radios would not be paperweights but not sure why anyone at this time would want to buy a new one unless the price is significantly reduced or they like nostalgia🫤

Whistler still appears to be in business with a nicely designed website indicating an address in Rogers, Arkansas. They also have contact phone numbers and email contact form. I sent in a question. Wonder if there will be a response from a person or some kind of auto-response.

I've been trying to inquire about a repair that was sent there quite a while ago. The phone numbers have been nothing but a constant busy signal for weeks now, and emails so far have been met with zero response of any kind.

I have two Whistler branded scanners and one GRE, and they all three work great!
I hope that Whistler would produce a new scanner, with a colored display, and with true NXDN and DMR capability.
If they did, I would sure be a prospective buyer!

Again pages of comments but no one seems to know the answer.

Constant busy signals, no email response, and moving for way over a month? Maybe they are just an unorganized, poorly run company. , They show a funny way of being open👎
If Uniden did this, the forums would go crazy. I think some people are in denial, in psychology “a natural response when you're unable or unwilling to face the facts.” I truly hope I am wrong.

Hmmm. OK, well I guess I will quit looking for a TRX-1. Yeah, there is one listed on Amazon and one listed on eBay but both are too much for me. I just shattered my piggy bank for the SDS200 and SDS100.

Domain looks available, too...
Negative. The domain name expiration date is October 29, 2029. Plus, the DNS is still pointing to 23.227.38.65. A "whois" and a "dig" will provide this information. An "nslookup" on www.whistlergroup.com provides 23.227.38.74 for the web hosting server.

I looked at their SSL certificate and here what that shows. Has the website been down since December 1? I wonder if they were moving hosting providers.
