All current TalkGroups will remain in place, and will be renamed (see new config below). Each troop will use the current "A" TalkGroups from each current District as either Primary or Secondary. The lower of the 2 will act as the new "Primary", the higher of the two will act as the new "Secondary". Not all troops will use the Secondary talkgroups 24/7, however I would assume during high loads they will.

Examples:
Troop 1:
  • Primary (Current District 1A)
  • Secondary (Current District 16A)
Troop 2:
  • Primary (Current 7A)
  • Secondary (Current 17A)

Exceptions:
Troop 7 (Current D10) won't have a secondary TG. Until configurations are completed, current "B" TalkGroups will be utilized.

Troop 3:
  • North: D2-A
  • Middle: DC-C
  • South: DC-D
  • Southwest: D5-A
  • Admin/Other: DC-A

EDIT: I replied in a post below, this came directly from a contact, who was notified of the change by the state.
Monitoring new troop 2. D-17A coming across as TG 9019. Same as D-7A.
Troop 2 East & West are patched

This might help..

Even though I was aware of the restructuring, it was still strange yesterday hearing D13/D22 units using the X prefix.

Districts 2, 5, and Chicago is becoming the Metro Troop.

First time I heard a reference to this today. Informational message was being put out on the South talkgroup shortly after 1500 Hrs... "Attention all Metro South Units......"

Listening to TG9019 LS Troop2 but most ISP 2XX cars being dispatched by D1 Sterling kind of confused, what happened to LaSalle dispatch?

Does anyone know if this patch is permanent?

Sterling has been dispatching D-1, D-7, D-16, and D-17 for some time now. I think they did D-Chicago a couple of weeks ago when they had problems there.

All these questions were previously answered in this thread (7 pages), and a very nice map is available in the WiKi.

WiKi map is good but a little hard to read when printed out. Cannot find a good copy on the State Police website.

How about the previous posts on this thread? Most areas have been posted on, etc. I didn't have an issue with the Wiki map, printed it out and it's clear. Map is also posted if you google ISP.

Check the Starcom 2022 and 2023 thread. Alot of good information from many resourceful people around here, but a little effort is needed.

When will changes appear in the database itself? I'm still seeing districts vs troops when pulling using Proscan.

I see them in there, and since you're a Premium subscriber, you can access the database and self-program instead of waiting to append the information.
