The RRDB lists 2 frequencies for City of Ithaca Fire Dispatch:
453.050 licensed to the City
460.575 licensed to Tompkins County. The County license appears to be current and includes the Ithaca FD Tac frequencies.

Is 453.050 still in use for Ithaca FD Dispatch?

Last time I checked, 453.050 was active, it is the same as TGID 55002 on the Tompkins County P25. Same with Fire Paging, 460.275 and TGID 55327.

OK, then is 460.575 Ithaca City FD Dispatch same as TGID55003?
Thanks for the info!

I did a major cleanup of the Tompkins County RRDB to remove reference to licenses that had been submitted for cancellation or allowed to expire due to the implementation of the P25 system. I updated the call signs for frequencies retained under the current KKV459 license.

What is the status of 458.6125 link to 46.12? I marked it Deprecated since I believe 46.12 is no longer used.

I am adding the associated TG to conventional frequencies linked to the TRS when it is known. Please submit any additions.

Looking at my notes, I haven't received anything on 458.6125, but I'll give it a fresh listen. As for 46.12, I've only received noise, like encryption or something.

Also, I've never received anything on 460.575.

I mentioned that 453.050 is the same as TGID 55002. But I also noticed it follows 55075 (Ithaca FD/FG), and (so far) two OPS channels, OPS 9 and 10 (55309, 55310).
Speaking of the OPS channels, each OPS is associated with a locality. So when the County dispatches Fire to say, Dryden, all involved will switch to OPS 5. If in Lansing, OPS 1. I've managed to identify all 10. Is that something that should be submitted to the DB?

Some counties assign OPS as needed but others have each primarily designated to a battalion or department. If it seems to be consistent department assignments, submit it and I will add it.

So are Ops 9 & 10 Ithaca? Do you think 453.050 is scanning the Ithaca Fire TGs?

The important thing for the RRDB is to determine if 460.475 is still Ithaca Dispatch and if the other Ithaca and County 460 Tac/Talk channels are still used. I hate to leave deprecated conventional stuff in the DB, especially if tagged Dispatch, and people buy conventional scanners hoping to hear that agency.

Can anyone familiar with Tompkins Fire operations clarify what the present situation is?

if 460.475 is still Ithaca Dispatch
You mean 460.575? I've never received anything on that channel. The only two I pick up are 460.275 and 453.050, all other fire channels listed in RRDB (Tompkins conventional) are quiet on my radio.
So are Ops 9 & 10 Ithaca? Do you think 453.050 is scanning the Ithaca Fire TGs?
Yes, I've heard them call Ops 9 "Tac A" and Ops 10 "Tac B". Both used for operations within the city of Ithaca. I still need to confirm if 453.050 follows the other Ops TGIDs too.

Thanks for the info. I am going to mark 460.575 and 460.525 (Data) Deprecated. I am leaving the conventional UHF Fire-Tac channels as-is for now awaiting a response to an email I sent to a person that should be aware of present use.

What is the status of 462.975 EMS Dispatch? I don't see any Countywide EMS Dispatch or Operations Talk Groups. Is Dispatch combined with Fire?

I actually have received traffic on 462.975, but very rarely, and usually just a single transmission with no identifying information. I haven't been able to correlate it to a TG.
Yes, countywide EMS is combined with Fire dispatch on both systems.
So are Ops 9 & 10 Ithaca? Do you think 453.050 is scanning the Ithaca Fire TGs?
I was able to catch a couple other Ops and they weren't transmitted on 453.050, so I think it's just used for the city of Ithaca, TGIDs 55002, 55075, 55309, and 55310 so far.

462.975 is the same as MED A (TG 55004), but not MED B. For some reason they primarily use MED B on P25 and only rarely use the MED A channel.

I believe I now have the Tompkins County RRDB reasonably up to date for all Public Safety conventional dispatch frequencies. While continued use of some conventional Tac, Talk and Hospital UHF frequencies is questionable, it is best to leave them listed unless they are known to be deprecated.
