At US > Arkansas > Johnson (County) , we have:

154.59000 M167.9 PLJCSO-TALK Sheriff: Talk-Around [No License] FM Law Talk
154.58500 MJCSO-TAC Sheriff: Tactical [No License] FM Law Tac
I can't imagine the same agency trying to use those two channels just 5 kHz apart with FM (wideband) modulation. 154.5900 is an invalid channel and not licensed to anyone in ULS***. Looking at the descriptions, if JCSO-TALK is supposed to be talk-around for the Sheriff dispatch repeater on 158.7900. Would someone local comment/research please?

***N.B. Please see note on the about tab of my user page regarding unlicensed usage.

Well, they'd be FMN now anyway but, no, likely not. My suspicion is (and the reason you're posting about it) that it is some old hold-over info from the past and is no longer valid at all. Those listed FM would have to be FMN by now as far as I know.

@wbswetnam Is this somewhat close to your area? Do you know anything about this, by chance? Be nice to confirm if they're deprecated and can be deleted.

Johnson County is just to the west of my location in Pope County, but I have not attempted to monitor either of those frequencies. Nearly all of the sheriff department's communications are on 158.790 MHz DMR, and occasionally on their AWIN channel. I'd be astonished if JCSO weere using either of the frequencies in the OP's post, especially in analog mode. I'll plug them in and monitor for a while, just in case, though, and leave it analog CSQ.

The channel was called 801...what i was told a deputy had the lic to use the freq. 3 years ago the county was using one of the fish and game tacs but that was short lived when the state sent a letter to the county to stop using the channel. the 2 freq that is listed was put down depending what type of scanner you where using the freq would show up diff.on the display
