Here is the deal......Johnson County is testing alot of Digital tg's as we speak. Right now the Dispatch tg's are the ONLY tg's changing from analog to digital. Please if there is anyone in Johnson County that can check the tg's and confirm please advise. I have been told that there may be anywhere form 20-50 new tg's for this county in the Digital mode. My software is not working properly and any help would be greatly appreciated. Listen, Listen, Listen. I like to let my software run while I'm at work, but my Sony VAIO has other things on it's mind right now.

I thought I noticed Franklin Pd on Greenwood's ADMIN tg over the weekend.

Are you talking about the FD's or all dispatch groups?

I'll certainly help out with this project!

It's been confirmed. There will be NEW Digital tg's assigned for ALL Johnson County Fire Depts. I will post a list as soon as I can.

New TGs

That might explain all the new, unidentified talkgroups I've been seeing in Unitrunker, some being affiliated to by known fire/EMS radios.

Here's a list of some I've seen in decimal format. I'm sure I've missed some. I have only monitored traffic on one of them thus far. These may be these new talkgroups, or they may be totally unrelated to this, but they aren't in the database, and have been showing up on the Greenwood site lately.

48208 - Heard it referred to on the air as "Admin 8", possibly Clark Fire Administration

That Admin 8 is the Needham (Clark) Fire admin. Good find.
You are correct....These are the new tg's in Jo Co. Keep listening.

I have not picked up any new tgs.
I did hear Clark FD talking about taking a radio out of a rig.
(don't know if this is related to new radios)
I'm still here and I'll let you know when I hear them...

I ran ID Tracker on Greenwood's site from 14:00 to 6:00 am Sunday and found these tg's that I can't identify:

535 (sounded like Greenwood Fire)
592
759
7303
7319 (Hendricks Co?)
7687
39776 (testing radios)

I'll try it again tonight.

Some of those look like they had status bits used...
In other words ID's should be even numbers number not odd, evenly divided by 16
the 39776 one looks correct. 592 is in the database New Whiteland Fire.

As newsalan mentioned, the odd numbers indicate that a status bit was on.

7303 could be 7296 (32 HCP HQ) plus 7.
7319 could be 7312 (32 HCP DISP) plus 7.
7687 could be 7680 (41 FPD DSP) plus 7.
39776 is divisible by 16, so it's a legitimate TG number, but I didn't see it in the database.

I'm not clear on staus bits.
I checked my settings and I have status bits set to "off"

But you are correct on the first items because they sounded like talk groups I'm use to listening to.

I agree that the last one is a new tg.

Thanks for the tip that legal tg's are divisble by 16.

This for Type II systems, P25 and Type I systems are different. With that said, and the above, it could possibly be multiselect, which would make sense if new or testing.
Type II status bits
Dec ID + # Usage
-------------------------------------------------------
ID+0 Normal Talkgroup
ID+1 All Talkgroup
ID+2 Emergency
ID+3 Talkgroup patch to another
ID+4 Emergency Patch
ID+5 Emergency multi-group
ID+6 Not assigned
ID+7 Multi-select (initiated by dispatcher)
ID+8 DES Encryption talkgroup
ID+9 DES All Talkgroup
ID+10 DES Emergency
ID+11 DES Talkgroup patch
ID+12 DES Emergency Patch
ID+13 DES Emergency multi-group
ID+14 Not assigned
ID+15 Multi-select DES TG

48128 is County Fire FG-1
I submited alot of new tg's, but they haven't shown up yet in the database.

Radios have been installed in Whiteland and Needham fire vehicles. Amity has about 30 new digital radio wt's, but they were sent back for re-programing.

Anyone have anything else?

That is because they haven't been identified for usage. "Unidentified" or "Unknown User" info is not suppose to be in the database until confirmed usage. As soon as you guys figure out who is using what, we will put them in. For now, please post the unidentified talkgroups here :)
