Just to Clarify

I want to apologize in advance for asking redundant questions. I am battling insomnia and decided to research scanning AWIN as a new scanner is on my wish list.

If I have read everything correctly there are 2 steps in programming a scanner to scan AWIN in a specific area or for a specific agency

1. Determine which control channel controls your agency (in fort smith it would be troop H)
2. Then program the talkgroup for the specific agency

Is this correct?

Yes It is, In my case I live in greenwood so I programmed every Troop H tower, and other troop towers, like in Sebastian county if you have a good antenna you will be able to pick up the Troop L stuff of the Westfork Tower, And on the Waveland tower will come in clear also, on that tower you will get alot of Troop J Traffic, Troop J Dispatch, and Pope County SO Disp off that tower. And be sure to program the Mobile Command Channels 95% of the time when my scanner lands on a Channel say for example the Tower will be the mobile command for some reason they come in alot better than like the Cedarville, or Hartford tower.
