How do they sound? If you listened before, do the conversations seem as normal as before?
Yup very clear and with the UID feature you can see the radio # ing

Well im using 2 996P2 and a Uniden 325P2 and i hear them great

Just installed the frees and tgp's on my bcd396xt and am receiving Kankakee County.
I have them programmed in my 396XT also, get the Phase I stuf only , the CITY is P2.....
I am programming (or attempting to program) my friends bcd536hp. While creating my favorites list, I can do all the state police but when I get to Kankakee simulcast the append to favorites list is a solid block and will not let me append it to a favorites list. I have the same issue with the off air channels. What am I doing wrong?
What/how does it/I have to do to help grab these TGID's? Live about 15 miles line of sight from Grant Park towers but don't know precise location of site. Can't do close call from here. Have a 536 and sds200 and almost ready to park outside GPFD station and hope to get "lucky". Cannot legally possess scanner in my car (Indiana), not sure about Illinois. Miss my KanCom dispatch and affiliated depts.
I am programming a bcd536hp for a friend and used a trial version of Butel software as I couldn't understand Sentinel for anything. It seems to be working as well as anything I've done so far. I'm getting KKK city and county and some fire traffic. Downloaded from RR.
For Sentinel, download current database, click USA/Illinois/Kank Co/Statewide/StarCom21/Kank Co. Select what to append to fav lists. What's published is all that's available as of now since the change.
sounds good but I ran into a problem creating favorites. It took the first few but when I tried to append Kankakee County Simulcast and the off air the highlight on the append box was solid blue and wouldn't add to favorites.
All I can suggest is to make sure you have current updated database in Sentinel. Follow file path listed above. I've never experienced the issue you've stated. You can select individually, or the whole list then delete what's not needed. Im an old guy just trying to figure this stuff as I go. I REALLY miss programmables! (but slowly getting the hang of this)

I'm 77 and that's why this rusty brain purchased the 996P2 and 325P2 because they are very easy to PGRM by hand as I'm not good with computers and software....My second996P2 has the NXDN and DMR extras which have a lot to listen too...I would like a 536 but there rough to PGRM , the XTP2 scannersdo Phase II very well also
I'm not familiar with NXDM and DMR. What does that give you?
There modes you can purchase from Uniden.com and pgm System repeaters , there mostly used by business, schools and now some PWs....Elite and Superior ambulance are now on NXDN (Digi-Talk)....Can be purchased and opened up in most new scanner models....
