It's all finally put together ( minus a few cables for the mixer)

Top row:
XG100P ( yes it's green ) that's my go to radio VHF , UHF and 700/800. I use it for Ham use and also monitoring local first responders. I am also close to the Ohio river and enjoy watching and listening to the barges go through the locks.
XG25P - Monitoring MARCS - anything from OSP to the park rangers.

BCT125 - my Maritime monitoring unit

in the console:

To the left I have a XG75M (top left) and a XG100m (bottom left ). the 75 is parked on my county fire dispatch ( Law enforcement is not available due to the big E word)

The XG100M is used for Ham use and also monitoring several law enforcement agencies

In the middle :
behringer eurorack pro mixer to combine everything into the two bookshelf speakers on the top row. Redbeard talked me into it.

Icom IC-7300 for my HF ham stuff

in the console on the right:

2 BCT15X's to monitor Air traffic ( Pittsburgh international not to far away )

and finally the XG75 that monitors the neighboring county law enforcement , Fire and EMS . Can't keep my eyes opem amy longer.

Have a great evening or day where ever you are and thanks for looking !

Great looking setup! What did you use to keep all the cables nice and tidy?

well, I have two 8 socket outlet strips mounted under the desk. I used good ol zip ties to shorten the cords ,it's not as pretty as you think. but you can't see the rats nest when the desk is in the standing position. the only corgs and cables visible are the coax and the cords to the outlet strips

The trick to wire management on a standing desk is to keep everything on or mounted under the desk. Keep the essential cables going elsewhere (power, Ethernet, antenna) sleeved and with a gentle bend to allow them to follow the desktop up and down while preventing big coils and kinks.

On my prior Uplift desk I mounted the power strips under the desk and had a single power lead to the wall. The UPS was mounted in a CPU bracket under the desk to protect the computers (which lived on the desktop as they were both SFF). I made generous use of Velcro straps!

One of the nice things with the AudioRax box you have is there is a lot of room for things like power strips, multicouplers, networking and other devices as well as for stashing cables. I wish however the cable pass-thru's between the bays were larger.

The biggest problem I had however with this 4u slanted 3-bay cabinet was that it made the monitors too high for comfortable viewing. Even being 6'4" tall they were too high even with the desk all the way down. I bought a 3u flat box and that was better but still too high. I am considering a free-standing leg system to use my 4u slant cabinet (the same one you have) on the side with my new SecretLabs Magnus Pro used only for the computers. Gotta find a good woodworker out here to help though!

you aren't kidding. The monitor is a little high but I'm getting used to it. when I am in the reclined position its not to bad. Standing is obviously ok. What sucks is the weight of the equipment and the rack , the desk can't handle it and it slowly creeps down. I had to make use of vise grips to keep it from lowering on its own. Looking for a more substantial replacement desk.

I have had 4 different sit/stand desks over the years. I actually still have all of them!

The SecretLabs Magnus ProXL ($950) is my current desk. The desktop is actually manufactured chip board with heavy steel casing and the rest is all heavy steel. It is as sturdy a desk as I have ever seen, even at the highest level. It is holding my current AudioRax 10u cabinet with 3 Icoms, 10 scanners, an Astron 25A PS and more as well as 2 computers and 3 monitors. It is 72 inches wide so it will fit your 3-bay cabinet with room to spare.

My previous desk is an UpLift L-shaped desk ($1800 as configured). I had had all the above equipment on it with the same 3-bay rack you have but with 5 monitors and it too had no problem holding all of it. My son uses it now here in our office and he has 3 monitors, a huge water-cooled PC and more.

I also have a pair of Office Depot/OfficeMax Magellan desks ($400 at the time, $580 now). These were less expensive and pretty basic but they held all the above equipment with no sinking. I still have one in the office that we use for network gear and extra stuff. The wife uses the second for her sewing room's finishing table.

We also have a cheaper Amazon desk we paid about $50 for. We got what we paid for, but it actually worked fine for the wife's laptop and to hold her serger.

I would point you towards the Magnus Pro (60" width) or Pro XL (72"), While intended for the gaming set it really works great for radios. It has an integrated cable trough with power, can hold a ton of stuff and the steel construction and magnetic accessories are great. The downside is that I wish it were deeper, the last 4 or 5 inches are for the cable tray so front to rear space is a bit limited. Even if you cover the tray cover with your cabinet it is still a great choice.

Nice!

I renamed my Springfield “the Combat Wombat”.

Seems a little more acceptable in mixed company. ;p

Great setup! Where did you find the rack mount for the cs7000s? Or did you build it?

audiorax.com it was pricy and takes a few weeks for him to build them, but it was worth the price and wait

Well the wait is finally over... sorta.

I finally pulled the trigger on some Audiorax furniture, It was pricy and the wait felt like forever , It was worth the price and wait! Just waiting for the panel for the 7300 which should be here Monday.

Equipment starting from top left:

XG-100p portable multiband
Springfield Hellcat ( my carry pistol )
Minitor 6 Dept. Pager
XG-25 Portable 700/800
XG75 Mobile set up in a CS7000 base unit ( monitoring my county agencies )
IC-7300 HF fun
X 2 BCT15's ( monitoring air traffic )
XG-100M Mobile setup in a CS7000 base unit ( Ham use and also monitoring local agancies )
M7300 mobile setup in a CS7000 base unit ( monitoring more local agencies )

Needless to say I like Harris equipment.

Thanks to Scott and Rich for making me spend more money I don't have ...lol
