Why do you keep arguing about this system with @RocketNJ ? Some people around here actually do know what they're talking about and have extensive experience in the field, believe it or not.You know this how?

I know this because there is other equipment at the site in addition to Kinnelon and I was directly involved with antenna placement on the tank.
The antennas on top of the tank are NOT Kinnelon's. Please don't question me on this.
It is not the black tank you see when driving up to Kinnelon from Boonton. I am talking about their furthest east site which is in the development right up above the ridge just west of 287 as you drive through Kinnelon.
Believe it or not there are spots outside of town that I can reach the Kinnelon system better than I can our PD repeater. Lincoln Road has fantastic coverage to the north and east and even when I was down in Denville I was able to pick them up. I'm not sure what you were experiencing beforehand but if you say it's better now, it's possible something changed. I found the antennas you were referencing and was getting a -35 db on them so they are definitely the ones. Maybe you can see if something changed on them since last you saw.I decided to retest Kinnelon from Pompton Plains on my SDS200 today. I loaded all sites.
Denise Drive, 453.5125 is coming in and perfectly readable on an indoor unity gain UHF antenna. (not the telescopic antenna). So from the last time I tried to monitor their system to now, I can now hear them. Same setup about a year ago was no-go so maybe they had a bad antenna or cable at Denise that was repaired?
Sal, try Denise Drive, 453.5125. You can use Sentinel to load Kinnelon from Radio Reference then lockout the sites except Denise. If you need help loading your scanner PM me direct.
Dave, I stand corrected. Now Kinnelon has better coverage east then it did a year ago. A year ago they were unable to be copied in Pompton Plains from any site.
Interesting, I might just be to far in Essex County, but never hear them. I have the SDS200 with DMR. I have DMR in my truck, I should put them in there for when I ride north on 287.
compared to pequannock, definitely not. I can hear them in Ringwood and only Wanaque and parts of Pompton. Other than that, I don't think so....Don't bother trying to listen to bloomingdale. They truly don't have out of town coverage. (They barely have in town coverage )
