As far as I know, EMS will remain being dispatched on 158.7525 and operate on 158.835, no intent to move to the trunking system. BHBP use their DMR still but LBBP use PTToC.
The remaining EMS agency not on the OC 700 system moved up a few weeks ago, all LBI Ems is now on EMS Ops 2

BHPD make the move yet?
Surf City PD has already moved up to the 700 system from their UHF channels.
Beach Haven will be moving up soon. TG is already in place and patched. As I understand it they are waiting on hardware.

There is also a good bit of PTToC integration happening to aid in extending the system capability, interoperability, and device availability without purchasing every stakeholder a radio, eg put a bridge in place and deploy comms via cheap att device or cell phone app. I can see this being helpful for events, storms, etc.

There is some interest is repurposing the legacy frequency licenses on the island as well. We shall see what becomes of that.

Listening is slowly disappearing.....

It looks like all of the island EMS is on Ops 2 rather than EMS 2? Anyone know if thats just because of how many squads share Zone 2?

All island EMS has been reassigned to EMS ops2. The thought process is the mainland is busy and there's a lot of traffic on EMS2-stafford, Parkertown, great bay.

There's some interest in moving all island fire to fire tac 2 permanently rather than as need or per call/event.

Right now that's the easiest way to manage traffic per TG. The system and call volume are both growing rapidly. I'd like to see an additional TG or 2 added for the island however that's an massive undertaking as every radio needs to be touched to accomplish this.

Am I hearing a patch on the Surf City DMR frequency too? It was active as I was reading this thread. It does make sense for the agencies on the island to be on a common system, but unfortunate that it's all encrypted.
