Hey all,

I've started putting lat & long information into the system, where applicable, for the trunk systems in Alberta. Mostly, they are put in as site comments on each tower site. If you click the underlined site name for each site of frequencies, you should see the latitude and longitude posted in the subsequent pop-up window.

If anyone has information to add, including callsigns and site locations, and especially proper radius info for the 996 (furthest out you can hear the system), please post it as an update and I'll add it to the database.

That's excellent, and a great idea. This is really helpful because you can input the latitude and longitude co-ordinates into a google earth search, and it will find the location of the site "visually" in seconds with no mistakes. Site locations using words like "Archer and Boyd" is somtimes a problem with google earth because cities and towns can have an Archer Avenue and an Archer Street. With latitude and longitude in DDMMSS, there is no misinterpretation.

Richster.

I have just about completed my Long/Lat project for the Edmonton and surrounding counties by system and or agency. I did pay more attention to actual jurisdictions than site towers or trunk systems.

I will most of my work sometime this month, but not sure where yet.
