• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I'm in Medina and i've been trying to listen to Life Flight. I have all the frequencies that I have found in the database but really don't hear anything on them. I know Lifeflight is dispatched out of Metro, in cleveland (27 miles away) but I would expect to be able to hear the dispatch to calls and also when they land and patient updates. Can someone help me out. Perhaps i have the wrpng frequencies? I'm currently listening to the frequencies listed onthis site.

Unless you're in Cleveland, you probably won't hear Metro. You'll usually hear the helos if they're within say 15-20 miles of you depending on their altitude.

It's a great carry weapon. i've been carrying one for years now. Is that what your DAK OWNER is about?

I kindof suspected about location being the problem. Thanks for the replys.
