Hello,

Just looking for some possible help.

When I initially set up my SDS100 I programmed it, set up my favorites and was able to hear Jasper County Sheriff dispatch and Deputies (as well as MSHP Troop D, Sarcoxie, surrounding agencies).

I reset my radio after tinkering with settings and when I programmed it again I cannot hear Jasper county sheriff at all.

I can still hear everyone else (and on the same channel I was hearing them before) but it's like they've disappeared or went mute.

Anyone know what happen or how I can fix it so I can hear Jasper County dispatch/deputies? I live rural so that's really all I've got.

Thank you.

The Jasper County Sheriff talkgroup is now encrypted. Occasionally, you might hear a dispatcher in the clear. It is said that the rest of the county talkgroups will also eventually be encrypted as well. I'm working to enlist some fellow listeners to start an email campaign to hopefully reverse this. If you're interested in assisting in the effort, DM me and I'll get back in touch with you.

You might also be interested in the Joplin Area Scanner Buffs on Facebook. Wally Bloss is the administrator. There is a lot of good information available there.

Regards,
Paul
