Hello all,

I just purchased ARC500 Pro and I have a question about audio. The scanner is connected to the PC via the usb programming cable. Are you able to listen to the scanner through the ARC500 Pro software? I'm able to use the virtual control but there's no audio coming from the pc. Internet plays sound no problem. What am I missing?

Thanks

I hope you don't mind if I keep asking my ARC500 PRO questions here. I'm now wondering why there's a difference between the software and what is in the PDF manual. I'm missing the file/folder tab.

From the manual on my version one page deeper into the manual than the page in your screen capture:

Audio connection:
To record audio you must connect the scanner speaker output to the PC sound card.
Use a 1/8” stereo cable to connect the scanners speaker output to the PC line input.
The line input is a light blue connector. Set volume of scanner to 12 o’clock for best
performance. You should hear the scanners audio through the PC speakers. The volume of
the scanner effects the volume of the recordings so be careful when adjusting the
scanners volume control. Make sure that the line input is the Default device in Windows.
