LMRN Technical Data Discussion

So I made an interesting find.

It appears that ambulance radio IDs are sequential on both Fleetnet and LMRN. For example, I have a bunch of ambulance IDs identified and logged in Unitrunker for FleetNet like so:



And I managed to identify some ambulances on DSDplus for LMRN:


And as you can see, I can merge the Unitrunker FleetNet ambulance unit numbers and DSDplus LMRN radio ID files pretty seamlessly:


In this case, it appears the magic number is 707,815 to convert between FleetNet and LMRN for the Waterloo, Dufferin and Guelph/Wellington units. I've managed to identify one Hamilton unit (HAM 2031). It's Fleetnet ID was 44989 and LMRN ID was 752501, the difference being 707,512.

Funny thing happened just now there was some kind of pursuit/stolen vehicle and a unit was told to flip to tac 01 but they lost him. During that time I had two new things pop up on the system TG 19034 RID 700268. Never seen them come up before so not sure but could this be the new system for OPP?
Also had TG19003 RID 700060 come up

Wondering if 25## might be Corrections?

My guess would be the 25xx groups might be MTO Enforcement. Corrections really don't use radios outside of their facilities except for the odd trip taking prisoners outside for medical attention. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've heard a unit from CNCC in Penetang on Fleetnet.

Or maybe MNR Conservation Officers? I thought someone mentioned that MTO Enforcement was going to be on the OPP TG's, instead of having their own. I could be wrong.

I guess we'll know for sure, when we start seeing the two groups being patched together, after they switchover.

If that 25xx series TG's are patched with the OPP 191xx series TG's it may be safe to say its MTO Enforcement. DSD+ FL is your best friend right now.

It was suggested / rumoured in another post at some point during all this that they were doing away from TG patching them together, and they would just operate on the OPP talk groups now (which, would make sense). So this might not hold up anymore.

The latest I have from MTO is that they are/will be directly using the OPP TG for the area they are in. There is no dedicated MTO Enforcement TG anymore. I will attempt to reconfirm this as the OPP transition goes live. The MTO do have their own DVRS freq 771.88125.

Definitely had to be. Hasn’t come back since, though my signal is quite good over here. A blip in the matrix I’m sure.
