On a similar note Radio Havana is BOOMING into SoCal right now on 6010 KHz. This is probably the best signal I have ever heard from them.
Good catch BryanI caught Radio Thailand early Saturday Morning. Unfortunately the only English was the announcement at sign on saying the program will be in Mandarin.
Good catch Bryandepending what time that transmission you got was straight from Thailand. We in California have a good shot at the Asias AND at night the Africas and Europe.
Nice! What are the dimensions on that loop-maybe I can get away with one here too![]()
Nice fat haul LynchI hear the Russians all the time here in SF-I suspect they are a married couple and the guy is out on the fishing boat busting his hump in the cold and she is at the base with a pork roast in one hand and a mic in the other
-she is always *****y sounding! What antennas do you operate on? what did ya do to the existing one?
I'm envious! I am relegated to a 50-footer so I will never get the stuff you can but I do enjoy seeing your catches! Can't wait to see that N/S line in actionI shortened my east/west line down to about 70' to get it further away from some powerlines, and I'm going to put up 100' north/south. They are going to be connected to the terminals on a cannibalized 4:1 tv-type balun, feedline is now good quality coax, instead of bell wire with 'gator clips. If it's working well, I may build a switch box with a three position switch to switch between them or combine them.
Also think I got Algeria, Morocco, and Japan last night, but couldn't confirm.
