Around 0130z on 17730kHz I believe this is Radio Free Asia transmitting from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. At least this is what the spreadsheet shows. Not the best signal here but was good enough to hear above the noise.

Radio Prague on the R75 for a switch:)makin it here on a mere 100,000 watts! Conditions must be better tonight because I usually don't even get this trying in the past.

I caught Radio Thailand early Saturday Morning. Unfortunately the only English was the announcement at sign on saying the program will be in Mandarin.

Good catch Bryan:) depending what time that transmission you got was straight from Thailand. We in California have a good shot at the Asias AND at night the Africas and Europe.

Hey ridge, I'm using the Wellbrook. Pretty much the only antenna I use now. I'll probably take the End Fed down once I can get another loop. Emailed PixelSat about their RF PRO-1A Moebius Loop and they said 2 weeks on backorder. Hopefully if I can come up with funds and get one ordered as an early Christmas present :)

This evening on 4930kHz around 0403z heard what I believe is Voice of America from Botswana just above the noise floor. It's very tough to make out but definitely an English language broadcast in the mix.

All coming in much better than usual, that is to say coming in at all 0700z

8725 usb, man, woman arguing in assumed Slavic language 0720z, 0725 moved up to 8806

9153 code station 0732z

9420 Voice of Greece, music 0736z
9440 Radio Slovakia, weak w/ male and female announcer, assumed news
9480 Deutsche Welle, news in German, great signal
9800 TWR via Monaco
9870 Korean Broadcasting via UK
9895 R. Nederland
11640 Radio China Int'l....from China!

Worked on the antenna tonight- new coax and balun in prep to bushwhack 100 feet of 18ga wire north/south. Seems things have improved even without the N/S line

Nice fat haul Lynch:) I hear the Russians all the time here in SF-I suspect they are a married couple and the guy is out on the fishing boat busting his hump in the cold and she is at the base with a pork roast in one hand and a mic in the other:D-she is always *****y sounding! What antennas do you operate on? what did ya do to the existing one?

I shortened my east/west line down to about 70' to get it further away from some powerlines, and I'm going to put up 100' north/south. They are going to be connected to the terminals on a cannibalized 4:1 tv-type balun, feedline is now good quality coax, instead of bell wire with 'gator clips. If it's working well, I may build a switch box with a three position switch to switch between them or combine them.

Also think I got Algeria, Morocco, and Japan last night, but couldn't confirm.

I'm envious! I am relegated to a 50-footer so I will never get the stuff you can but I do enjoy seeing your catches! Can't wait to see that N/S line in action:)

You got a little tuner or 9:1 balun on there to help you out on the low freqs? I've been driving around with the 80 meter whip on top of the car and getting pretty used to having it up there. The truckers all seem envious of it. Maybe I'll make a quick video tonight.
