LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles police say an officer was shot in
the leg while serving a narcotics search warrant.
Officer April Harding says a suspect fired shots at two officers
in an alley Thursday afternoon in the Boyle Heights neighborhood.
She says the officer's injuries are not life-threatening and he has
been taken to a hospital for treatment.
Harding says the suspect is holed up inside a home. Police have
closed off several blocks surrounding the home.
