I live in western Loudoun County. A few days ago, my scanners stopped receiving Loudoun County. I have since been informed by Loudoun County that they have turned off the 800mhz transmitter sites in the western part of the county in anticipation to switching over operations to 700mhz frequencies. Currently the FCC site is down so I can't check for recent frequencies licensed to the County. I am posting this in case anyone else in western Loudon is having trouble or is no longer hearing Loudoun County trunked system.

I think you need to program all eight control channels now.

Thanks, it is not a programming issue. The issue is if you are trying to monitor the system from the Round Hill area, you will probably not be able to hear it. If you are monitoring from other places like Sterling, Leesburg or Ashburn you should be receiving the system just fine.

To JBP, my sincerest apologies. I initially read your response on my phone. Meaning I only saw the 800mhz frequencies. After I sent my first response I then saw the 700mhz frequencies. I added them and I am now receiving the system again. Thank you so much for posting!

Thank you, I live in Berryville and that explains it. Is the new system hot now?
