What about fire 1 when I worked at keystone they said the tx pl was changing or did I miss understand
It doesn't matter and it does not need to be discussed on here.

Edit - It's on a need-to-know basis and you don't need to know, as many problems as the County has had with people illegally transmitting on Fire 1, it does not need to be broadcast here.

Thanks.. I'm in middle Union County so I might be out of range. Appreciate the clarification👍
The Sherriff Repeater only covers the Courthouse area (and a little beyond); it is not meant to be Countywide. They also have a portable repeater on the same frequency set that they use at the at the County Fair.

So now 155.31 covers the rest of the county and 154.98 is WPD only, correct?

Another interesting tidbit, RVTA (formerly RVT or City Bus) has transitioned to a DMR system and a new frequency. Im waiting for the FCC site to come up to look at the info, but in speaking with the supervisor who handles their radio stuff, he has confirmed they have gone "E".

154.4 was City Fire. Then they went 800 MHz, and then just was dispatched on Fire 1. It then became an Ops channel.
What was the timeframe that the 800mhz system was in place? Was is just for the city or for all of Lyco? Any idea what the details were for it, like how many sites, channels, how long before they abandoned it? Always fascinated by the idea that they completely abandoned a new radio system.

If I remember correctly I want to guess mid-late 90’s? I remember a few visits to the City for high school football nights and remember adding in the 800 system to my old Radio Shack scanners but never had much luck hearing much on it. Then remember it just mysteriously vanishing the next time I was making the trip a few years later.

Yeah, the old City 800 was short-lived and, IMO, gave trunking a bad name for the longest time in this county. Poor coverage in the city and I know they had a couple of remote sites to try to remediate. I don't know the full details on it as it was my pre-whacker days, but I heard stories of it working better outside the city than inside.

I know they had the TRS in service in 1997 when I was a student paramedic. Went until early 2000's if I recall.
