Lynchburg scanner?

What scanner will work in this area?

It is a 4 site simulcast system which appears to be a Harris system since every frequency is a control channel. Most likely, the only scanners that will work are the Uniden SDS100 handheld and SDS200 base/mobile.

The bcd436hp will work but maybe not give you the performance you want. The whistler Trx-1 and Trx-2 are also fine choices.

Get yourself either a Unication G4\G5 or as member said above-A Uniden SDS100 or SDS200. I went thru the transition from EDACS to P25 and Bought a Whistler WS1088 and had absolutely a horrible experience with it from Simulcast. I then bought a Whistler TRX-1 and had the same issue. Sold them and bought a Unication G5 which handles the simulcast very well. So will the Uniden SDS100/SDS200. This is a Harris System.

I have to agree with Doc. If you are going to spend money on a digital scanner, you should get something that is most likely to work. Other options are a gamble. They might work for some people in the right location, but the SDS scanners, Unication pagers, or Software Defined Radio such as OP25 are actually compatible with simulcast.

I travel everyday thru Amherst on Route 60 and the sds 200 works good for me, my 436 only picked up in certain spots for just a few minutes.
