There have been issues with interference from Allen County on this frequency as well. There are times when Allen County comes in so clear it's as if they are sitting right next to the tower.
There are several counties that compete for use on that frequency. Sadly I don't forsee a "cheap" fix considering most budgets have been hacked with a butchers knife due to property tax caps.*Edit: Chief, look into the run card set up for mutual aid. Now granted a run card can help build out the alarm levels you want, sometimes that next alarm level just doesnt have exactly what you need. you have to be careful that your dispatchers dont put on the blinders and only send you whats on that next level, and the same goes for your staff. if you need a 3k gallon tanker, and your next alarm level is only 1200, then your staff, both dispatch and officers, need to know what each level has and when you say send me next due plus a 3k tanker, they should know where to get it from.
Run cards are great if you build them right, otherwise, they can be a nightmare. Good luck chief.
