I was monitoring 5-comm NJSP troop A Sunday night when that high school football player led the troopers on a short chase up the freeway and up to the mid-span of the walt whitman bridge when he bailed out and jumped off the bridge. I beleive they're still looking for him. Pretty messed up when high school kids are jumping off bridges!

Two incidents to report...

1) Ocean County Prosecutors office is en route to Little Egg Harbor, where a man was found dead inside a New Jersey Transit Bus. Transit Police are going to be the lead.

2) Mile Marker 34.4 Southbound on the Parkway, Rollover with ejection. Victim Passed away, pronounced by paramedics.

Hopefully there wont be any more fatal accidents tonight, according to troopers and local law enforcement, the roads are absolutely horrible. Being reported as, "ice skating rinks"

Please drive safe tonight everyone!!!!

Howell FD was put on stand-by for a Code 200 at the Wal-Mart. Any idea what this code means?

Someone should actually contact Lindsay and ask him if he can make a breaking news sub-forum for NJ.

Friday Sept. 14 @ 1000 local time: Navy Lakehurst working CG 1711 (HC-130, Elizabeth City) on 127.775. CG 1711 asking if they will be able to land at 1300 hours, pick up 25k fuel and make a quick turn around. "We are currently involved in a search and rescue". Lakehurst responded with a yes. "See you at 1300 hours".

Does anyone know why a MedEvac chopper is flying into Wells Mills Park in Waretown, Sat. 9/15/07, aproximately 4:40 PM ? I was out, just came home and turned on the scanners and heard Stations 36 (Waretown) and 60 (Forked River) get hit out for the LZ.

I don't know how much traffic you'll hear right in the area, as I've not been on that end of the drill. However, you will likely hear some traffic between Oyster Creek and the State EOC in West Trenton, on the trunked system as well as a few amateur frequencies (147.570, 224.320 pl67, possibly 3.9905).

Last year most of the traffic handled was either over the trunked system, or network links, with I think 2-3 messages handled on amateur frequencies. Don't know what this year will hold until tonight :>

Burlington County Fire Police Taskforces

This morning Burlington County Dispatched Fire Police Strike Taskforce I-India to Rte 70 and Hartford Road for a traffic detail. A short time later Fire Police Strike Taskforce Foxtrot was dispatched for the same assignment. Intermittently I hear units going to the scene from different areas. During the day I heard that there was an overnight truck overturned in the area. This afternoon I flip on the radio to hear Burlington county dispatch Fire Police taskforce I-India and F-Foxtrot for the same assignment. It seems like every ten minutes they dispatch another taskforce. What is going on? Do they just not have a good response? Do they need that many personnel on scene?

A truck crashed and flipped at around 1AM this morning. I guess they're just rotating crews until the clean up is done. Last I heard the road is still closed. My recorder was running last night so when I get home and listen to it I may be able to fill in some more details. Another truck crashed in the same spot not that long ago and it was the same thing. Road closed all day putting all the tele-poles back up.

Apartment fire in Camden County

Roundabout 22:54 this evening Camden County Stations 63, 61-1, 22, 65, 64-1, and 60-2 were dispatched to the Greentree Apartments on Gibbsboro Road in Lindenwold for an apartment fire. Crews on scene reported heavy smoke and fire in the building. Fire was placed under control at 23:19 hours. BLS 21, 63-47 and ALS 400 were also on scene. Unsure of injuries at this point, but I do know there were some infants being attended to.
