I have seen these pop up today:

1101 (Patched with 1103)
1103 (Patched to 1101)
1105
1107 (Patched to 1101)
1109

It appears they may be using odd TGID's only, perhaps for future expansion or just a weird coincidence.

Other previously unlogged TGIDs seen this week include:
1303 (Flood Control?)
1401 (MCDOT)
1504 (Radio Shop)
1633 (Corrections?)
1636 (Corrections?)
1641 (Corrections?)
2001 (Unknown User)
2101 (Unknown User)
2501 (Unknown User)
3001 (Unknown User)

I just caught 2501 patched to 1107.

Perhaps one is adult probation and one is juvenile probation?

I've seen similar patches on the old system between adult and juvenile probation TG's.

~~~
Just a thought, I'd like to see Flood Control moved from "Miscellaneous" to "Flood Control District".
Might be patched into the console for the dispatcher until things are up and running.
Patching Probation TG's was the norm on the old system. Probably due to dispatcher shortages. They patched adult with juvenile, even.
Observations from the far West Valley:
I am monitoring 4 sites with Pro96Com, Smith Peak, Wickenburg, Towers and White Tank.
Tower's Mountain (site 1-018) is up and running but apparently either not really connected or just no one is hitting it. While it has plenty of neighbors (Smith Peak, White Tanks, N. County, Anthem, Wick.) it has no channel grants and only a couple affiliations here and there. Since it shows Neighbors I assume it is connected to the network, or at least was once.
Smith Peak is pretty dead also, it has Neighbors (Towers, WT and Wick.) but only a few channel grants in the last week.
Wickenburg and White Tanks are busy with hundreds of channel grants and affiliations etc.
Rough coverage circle for the North County simulcast:
https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?siteId=31384
Rough coverage circle for the South County simulcast:
Go to the main page for the system itself, and click on any of the simulcast names to bring up the coverage map for the site. Click on the callsign for a map of the actual site locations.
When MCSO finally migrates over from the old system, you should see more activity on the outlier simulcast sites. I drove out to Aguila one time listening to MCSO on the White Tanks and Towers Mtn sites on the old system with my PSR-500, and noticed they got really quiet. So, I added in Yarnell Hill, and I started hearing them again. I hope Towers Mtn on the new system covers up there better than Towers Mtn on the old system does.
Crazy, looks like a system designed more for fish n game, than metro county SO... at least the north system does, pretty bush focused.
Carefree, Cave Creek, Rio Verde, Fountain Hills are all MCSO jurisdiction, and areas of the Tonto National Forest north of those areas that may be patrolled by both MCSO and TNF law enforcement rangers who communicate with MCSO dispatch rather than TNF dispatch. Also the Desert Hills, Anthem, and New River areas are MCSO jurisdiction, with rugged areas north of there.
MCSO SAR resources need communications capability in those areas where off-roaders, hikers, and campers could get into trouble as well.
Looks like the 1000 series are MCSO, I have activity on 1002 patched to 1001 and then 1002 patched to 1003 discussing the move.
1002 sounds like West Dispatch.
1003 sounds like East Dispatch.
Central on the old system will be shut down at 6:30am, so that should be popping up soon. A dispatcher mentioned that it is on A-09 on the deputy's radio.
Edit: All old MCSO TG's will be shut down at 6:30am.
Not MCSO, but 3001 is also active. I'm not sure who it is.
Radio checks on 1000.
1004, patched to 1001, keeps popping up, but I've only caught one transmission, a mention of a call holding on East Meridian.
Probation on 1110.
What's the best filter setting for this system?
3201 Sun City West Sheriff's Posse, Dispatch
There appears to have been little training made available to deputies and posse members on how to switch their radios to the new system and channels. There are still those coming up on the old system, and some don't know what to do with their radios. Or if written instructions were made available, they weren't read, or understood. (One deputy or posse member came up on old West, was told by the dispatcher to switch to the new system, and he said he didn't know what to do with his radio. The dispatcher replied, "You arent the only one".)
They're also appearing to be having some technical issues with radios getting out on the system. I don't know if it's related, but I'm seeing talkgroups flashing on and off with my SDS-100, a lot of transmissions are being missed, then suddenly I get reception. Which is why I was asking about the best filter setting to use on this system.
1001, 1004, and 1007 are patched together. Given the patching, what I am hearing, and the distance between talkgroups, it sounds to be like these are the dispatch channels. It makes sense to patch them during the day when things are calm so one dispatcher can handle all traffic.
