I know I started this awhile ago, but now I'd kind of like to see a list put up on the Some of the metro area's Law Enforcement and Fire Data bases. I don't really care where we start but could we here start to compile some unit Id's? Or is it a dumb Idea??

I know we had a small list of DPD, I just can't find the post.

Steeve2003 put together a very good list of unit id's/radio codes a while ago. I have a copy of it laying around here somewhere. I will post it as soon as I find it unless someone else beats me to it. It is very accurate and complete, but with everybody's help we might be able to add to it, or even make a few corrections.

So how do we want to submit this info when it comes in, and has been approved?? Or am I the only one that would like to see them listed in the database?

Or would a better home be a local web site, it appears the database section of RR is really not structured for this.

Good point Jim, there are people here who's sites might benefit or be a better fit for this information. So maybe it gets edited here, then goes to a more appropriate site? Do I have that right?

area unit ID"s

I know this might sound Backwords but how about a Yahoo group?

Id be willing to orginize one I had one in Central California that had tons of info
CENCALFIRE@yahoo.com check it out its still there

we could post and make excel spread sheets and also we can use it for

current incidents like the chat was last week....
Just thinking.........................

Across the top screen for every county, there is a tab called "Codes and Maps" and under is a header for codes/units/station lists. Other parts of the country in RR use this extensively for unit IDs and it is quite helpful when I travel. I would like to see Colorado IDs there since it would be nice to have them centralized with the freqs. There is a link for each county for submitting the unit IDs.

Was that aware there was a section designed for that, now that would be a great choice.

Without a doubt. Get them to us through the usual avenues and we'll get them in.
