Clearance to Moron
Well...about time....MARSA declared 1147ZAwesome! Clouds are high and pretty solid but will be a good listen!
The fun never ends.
Thanks Mark.
BTW...Weak A-A comms on 251.250. Sounds like Reach 1012 and 1011. May have even heard 1013. 1350Z Probably coming in from overseas.
Told to switch to Boston 124.250 but also mentioned 123.900 (Moncton Center).1359Z
That very well may be them....Comms are getting stronger and they are expressing concerns about the crossing (tailwinds) . Mentioning CYYT and changing course direct VINSI (47.89N, 57.37W NFLD).Those A/A coms are probably 3 PC12/U28A USAF types heading across pond
N707KH,05-0597,07-0777 are showing up that way
Kool...all three are still around and active on that freq. (N72DZ, N597CH and N707KH)USAF rules state that pond hopping by USAF single engine prop types must be
accompanied by multi-prop type.In other words next leg from St Johns they'll have
a HC/MC-130 rescue type with them for crossing..maybe to Lajes?
That would sound neat.Yeah I like those PC12 types. The USAF had a mess of them once but sold many of them off.
Sometimes you will see civy ones with tail reg ending in AF.
Had civ PC-12 buzz my house inbound local airport while back and sounds like P-51 Mustang
on steroids.. Really some serious sounding horsepower..Way cool.
Drawback is they are fuel guzzlers so prob why they ditched them.
That would sound neat.
Next show tonight at 0030Z-0545Z..AR20-NE.
As predicted...I see HC-130P 66-0222 NY ANG 106RQW into St Johns 2000z
Could be PC12 support guys for next leg..
I would have killed to have known that this morning. Not a minute of fighter A-A comms.Report from Moron of this morning's Coronet is they were VMFA-314 F-18A's aka The Black Knights
Two still at Bangor waiting for a lift.. Guess not after any giant alien ship like movie Independence day..LOL
