MV-22 Ospreys

Just noticed that the 3 Ospreys have returned from Overseas:
168284/02 MV-22B USMC HMX-1 KNIGHTHAWK34
168306/07 MV-22B USMC HMX-1 KNIGNTHAWK33
168289/03 MV-22B USMC HMX-1 KNIGHTHAWK32

Hopefully they will pass overhead and provide us with another opportunity to possibly get a picture of these very rare birds.
Thanks to Aircraft Movements St Johns Canada for the info.

Crap. Clouded over here a bit ago. Good listen though, thanks for the news. Did you get a ton of C-130s down you way today?

Negative...just turned the radios on and caught the SPIRIT flight. As reported in the NE thread got SPIRIT-41 and 42.

Are you guys sure it isn't SPUR 41/42. Should be meeting Beak 20/21.B-52s. Could be wrong, Got four radios on HF, and hits on all of them. Three x E-6Bs with EAMs. Numerous bombers/tankers calling skymaster.

I also got the calls on 11175. Must be SPUR flight. Do B2's have HF radios as standard equipment? I didn't think they did.

I hear that as well. Pretty sure the BUFFs have HF as standard equipment.
(Sorry...just re-read your post. You asked about B-2s...not absolutely sure about them)

So SPUR-41 and 42 are tankers not B52's. I see that c/s listed for both.

Ton of activity on HFGCF! I wonder if 41 and 42 changed their call? Getting 41 and 42 calling SKYMASTER but it sounds like they have a different call sign now.

Good weekend overall.. Even got a local treat here while out firing up BBQ
for dinner 2 CH-53E Choppers "Hustlers" from Marine Corp HMH-772 based at Joint McGuire buzzed my house at 1k on way home to McGuire up in Jersey.
Ran into house and confirmed on their A/A squad 283.000
Those big choppers get your attention with monster rotor and 3 jet engines and huge refueling boom
out front.. :)

Did someone mention Sh*tters! One of my all time favourite heli clips

and that rotary wing refueling business is sick...

Nice video clips!
Got to chat with CH-53E crew member couple years ago at McGuire.
He wasn't impressed with MV-22 and said their heavy lift CH-53E's can do
many things better and has flown with even 2 engines out once and landed safely.
In their airshow demo those CH-53E's moved vehicles and artillery around with ease.
Course next up for Marines is the CH-53K from Sikorsky with even more horses/range and triple the lifting power.
