Thx guys, its been a long year, but my new job is allowing me a lot more free time, plus I'm working right on the base, so getting some shots will be a lot less of a chore now.. was always kind of out of the way to go up onto the base on a normal work day, despite it being right there.

Howard, you would not believe the audio out here, I'm guessing its similar to your audio from the south, with no terrain, or very little to block those weaker signals..here its so flat the signals travel for miles. I can hear almost everything when they are working in the Weapons range(CLAWR), plus I hear them working between here, down to Camp Wainwright, which is a pretty good distance.

I have more audio I'll try to post in the next few days, or some highlights at least. Here's one for a laugh, and maybe you guys can appreciate it, was one of the first weeks I was here, and before I found out about the 300mm lens restriction..

Ahhh ok. And yeah Peach 6x is pretty common. I just missed the refuel last week (got the alert on my phone while enjoying wing night) and it looks like we might miss this one due to weather. Hope to hear them though. Last one was silent

Any SCOUT-19 (AWACS) aircraft moving through the area up that way? Got him working Trenton Military on 11232kHz USB with a phone patch to tinker AFB. Said to be heading to tinker requesting WX report. Time 2100z

A SCOUT 19 AWACS trainer callsign earlier today working over Colorado..
Nice thing about HF radio..sometimes the farther station is the best for com PP relays.
Have heard USAF aircraft way off Gander working Indiana station for HF MARS phone patches
SCOUT 19 prob too close to Offutt HF for propagation so worked Trenton instead.

Thanks Mark. That's a good point. I didn't think of the possibility the aircraft was using Trenton due to better HF propagation.

Team 10, 79-1710, heading (I believe) NE at 35,000 feet.. Could he be returning with someone by chance when coming back SW?

I was watching him closely. Not a word on the radio as he passed directly overhead (CPDLC). I saw he was logged near St Johns later on...but lost him afterwards.
I originally thought he was headed to AR62 for the B-1Bs...but LEEMA11 and MAINE99 took care of them.
Happy New Years everyone!!

Yeah was a mystery. Based on that callsign I thought it might be something worth staring at the sky for but I had nothing. Happy new year either way though!!!
