AR20SW hot for 1700-1800z.. Couple of QUIDS near UK sent someone westbound this morning
I believe it's for a couple of B-1Bs (RAZOR 3/4?) returning home. (May want to try 360.825 for A-A) Too busy at work to monitor this one :(

HOIST Tankers on their way to meet the RAZOR flight 1700Z

Rgr that 1645z Gander via ATC net working RAZOR 03,04 "90 miles North of Goose"
mentions Altrav and clearance into the block.
Couple McGuire KC-10's up that way HOIST 80,81,makes sense as on UK side of pond was QUID 82,83

Moderately strong radio contact on AR20 Pri. As of this second they're not close enough to my PC to get picked up though but they're approaching it seems. That or they're passing to the South or North. I should have had them by now, my scanner isn't that good. Maybe they shut off transponders?

Ha! Turns out my scanner is even better than I thought. It was the KC-10s refuelling one another. No idea where the Bones went but that was cool to see!! I'm assuming they either never got close enough to see or they pushed on ahead of the tankers after the refuel and without any warning I wasn't able to catch em visually.

Blue 31 just went over NS heading SW at 26,000 ft showing full posit/heading. It's a KC-10. Skies clear behind showing at least 3 contrails from formation planes.

That was a couple Lakenheath Eagles headed to Robins Air Force Base (depot). For some reason, the Tanker was broadcasting it's postion. Overcast at CYQI...but I did hear them overhead.

On tape heard RETRO 81 flight of 2 southbound ZDC 281.450
Sounds like them

Looks like MAINE99 (KC-135R, 58-0107) is setting up to refuel PEACH68(116th ACW E-8C Joint STARS) on AR20-NE. The tanker is circling CYQI awaiting the receiver at FL290. 2010Z
Switched to AR secondary freq 349.700. 2020Z

A pair of KC-135s (not sure they're close to one another) are up over or to the east of Maine. Anything going on? The schedule doesn't have anything for 2 hours.

Couple of westbound Res off Europe tomorrow, one for early and one later in day.
Maybe do polar route for Red Flag? Nah prob too dangerous in case reciever has problems.
Also was a BOBBY 73 58-0066 NH ANG showing B73 also staging up North or just out testing their booms

Given the Nova Scotia in the title of this thread I'll post this here rather than the lesser used Spotted at YHZ started a while ago - an OC-135 has just landed at YHZ for some reason, pretty rare visitor as far as I know.

Wow...that is an unusual visitor.
OSY12F -Open Skies-(61-2670, OC-135B) from Offutt Air Force Base.
I didn't see him in my log file...must have have come in from the North.

Busy day up your way today.. PEACH68 came thru NS/Maine around 1705z along with a HOIST 81 KC-10
Lots of tankers bouncing around up that way today..
Oddball mode s log of the day from Ontario box so maybe upstate NY was (AE5397) callsign
BADBLD25 1830z
No idea what that is..New one for me..Maybe chopper or new Army Beech aircraft.

Wow Mark, I (as I'm sure you did) googled that hex and got nothing. Bad Blood is a cool callsign, typically odd callsigns seem to be Hercs (Brillo, Chive, "Roler" etc), but who knows.

Googled the callsign and did come up with US Army 399th Combat Support Hospital in
Mass or 399th CSH.
One guy mentions flying in Iraq with this group in 2007 call them the Bad Bloods so guessing
Army type med-evac chopper.
That's different for sure..

60-0337 (which, as far as I can tell, isn't a Bangor or Pease or Pittsburgh jet) just approached us from almost due west and hooked to the left to line up with AR20 over yhz.. Might be a Fairchild plane a long way from home.
