Hey @GTR8000 , Good catch from over there. That was KING79 with a Pavehawk JOLLY11 out of Gabreski in Suffolk County. They were using 251.9 for the boom freq. and 328.475 for tactical training.
I had a feeling they were practicing refueling based on the flight pattern and position of the helo in relation to the C-130 when I saw them overhead. Unfortunately I wasn't able to figure out which frequencies they were using (I'm not really into milair comms), so I missed out on that. Maybe next time!

Yes those are the two main freqs. they use. They will probably go up tonight or tomorrow night when they usually do gunnery or flare exercises.

No room. What I really fear is they lose the tactical jet mission altogether. Maybe they will develop the light tactical jet version of the T-7, lol.
Rgr that no guarantee they get anything to replace the A-10's. Indiana ANG is trading in their A-10's for F-16's but they had them previously.
Maryland getting less over the years. Andrews used to have Naval Reserve squadrons of F'18's and Growlers but long gone now.
Martin State had C-130's then lost them and temp got C-27J's before the USAF sold them off.
Pax River NAS will always be there though..
Hopefully not another drone squadron to replace the A-10's. Fingers crossed they get something :)

In the NFDD posted today: NAS OCEANA WILL BE CLOSED FOR A MEMORIAL SERVICE/MISSING MAN FORMATION SAT 4/23/23 FROM 1400-1500L WITHIN A 5NM RADIUS OF KNTU 053/004 ( VIRGINIA BEACH OCEANFRONT 31ST STREET) SFC-17,999 MSL

The confusing part is that Saturday is the 22nd, not the 23rd. Nonetheless, RIP to the honoree.

0440 local GOLD-01 #64-14832 off DFW headed Northeast at FL260.

There is an E-6B #163918 orbiting off Southern California that departed from Vandenberg.. Could be for Missile launch from Vandenberg.
Seems Missile launch went as planned.. E-6B #163918 fired/directed the shot.. That E-6B 918 is long time Pax River stationed.
Prob work its way back here someday soon.

AV F-16’s coming across the pond again today. ROMA31/41 and ROMA32/42 with 4 F16’s per flight. Should be arriving at McGuire around 6pm
Ahh, thanks for the letting me know what I caught on recording. Just got home from work to find some Boom and A-A chatter about breaking up at ACK then direct HTO. Seems like this was ROMA 42 flight on 282.000 from 1921-2011z. I see next ROMA over Nova Scotia now.
