Everything is hazy today.. Hopefully clears out for T Birds in OC this weekend..

I drove down to Wallops for the Thunderbirds interview sessions only to arrive and find out they were delayed with a new arrival time unknown, so they cancelled the session and I was on my way back to New Castle I will now be going back Friday morning to cover the Hometown Hero guest flight.

Before I left, I did photograph a nice touch-and-go session going on around and around with five E-2 Hawkeyes and one C-2 Greyhound, Navy planes I'd never had a chance to shoot before. So that made the six hours of driving through unrelenting haze glare all worth it (or so I kept telling myself )

Probably has something to do with the Belmont Racetrack...

Hopefully horses at Belmont have better week than at Churchill Downs.. They shut down that Kentucky track now for a week or more
as 12 horses have died or put down in that couple weeks.. I personally think it is the Kentucky track surface as sure looked like
it is too heavy and thick and causing injuries.. No problems at Pimlico Preakness races in Baltimore..
The Kentucky Derby itself had ultra slow times as well that day in nice dry weather... Just my 2 cents.
