Busy travel day for not only POTUS and VP but also administration officials, Senate leaders, and governors.

As mentioned earlier, Biden will be in Kentucky, joined by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senator Sherrod Brown, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. While the Vice President will visit Chicago and the Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, will visit New London, Connecticut. Also, White House Infrastructure Coordinator Mitch Landrieu will visit San Francisco.

Upcoming travel includes Delaware this weekend and Mexico City on January 9-10th for North American Leaders Summit.

Was wondering as saw Charleston AFB space A has couple C-17 flights to Mexico City Thursday this week.
Sec of Transportation should be visiting Southwest Airlines headquarters instead and find out what they did with 7.9 Billion tax dollars
during the pandemic. They still have 1990's software running that huge airline.

Kept the nearly empty airplanes flying, thusly kept commerce, and the US Mail, moving. Kept people's paychecks reliable. Prevented an even larger bailout.

If the airline had used that money for a software upgrade, the executives would have been roasted.

I posted this late last year but a reminder to keep an eye out down Charleston way Thursday morning
before 11am local. They may turn off many of their mode s so local controllers don't keep getting collision alerts
on their consoles.. Calling for nice wx there Thursday. I wish Dover and McGuire would do joint mass flyover like this.

Might be worth the 5 hour drive down, reports are about 24 C-17s will take part, pedestrian access is allowed on the Arthur Ravenel Jr Bridge where rhey will fly over. Sure would be great to see and hopefully hear comms from the aircraft.

A few places around the airport offer some good views of the flight line as well.
