Looks like FLAM-11,12 KC-135's off Maine heading for AR-62E. A little behind Res time.
Yeah Ron those BAT Iowa KC-135's were booming in on 303.000 :)

The last Queen of the Skies B-748 just did a crown departing Washington State as tail N863GT enroute Kentucky.

I watched Boeing's live stream of Atlas Air taking delivery of that 747 last evening - at the very end they revealed the plan to fly that pattern upon takeoff. The CEO of Atlas Air is on board. I'm glad the plan came to fruition!

With finally some clear skies over Delaware I can actually see what's flying around. Just after 1230 I had an aircraft I must admit to not being aware of prior to shooting it - a Beechcraft RC-12 Guardrail intelligence gathering platform. ADS-B identified it as a plain BE-20 Super King, and I was just tracking it with my camera for practice when I could clearly see this was something out of the ordinary and grabbed some images. More on this highly unusual, sensor-laden aircraft: Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS) - USAASC You can Google image search "89-00274" for a number of close-ups.

Search this milair forum for GLARE, pretty regular flights from Hagerstown to Lakehurst area and return to HGR

P-8A skimming the water down off Florida altitude shows at 50-75 feet.
Just moved back up to 800 feet :)

Notice P-8a's are getting real regular off Virginia Beach these days. Maybe working subs out of Norfolk exercises or like to
keep an eye on that area.

Another P-8 LL-898 #170015 VP-30 working Niagara Falls with Buffalo/Niagara apch.
Tells them you can get good look at Falls and just avoid the restricted area.

Thank you for the background info, and yes, this flight was out of/returning to Hagerstown. From what I've read, there are only 14 of these Guardrails, but looking at the aircraft photo sites it seems they turn up all over the world. They must be quite useful aircraft. I'll definitely never dismiss any "BE20" that shows up in ADS-B in the future without doing a deeper dive!

Tracked them down on LiveATC working Gander on VHF as they came off AR-62E. They were AR with FEAR 31(x3). FEAR 31-32 went Oceanic, cleared back to KMIB, down to KOPAS-4241N01200W, then controller said the rest of clearance would be given by Santa Marie. *update* FEAR 33 split off and was cleared direct ART then to destination KBGR/Bangor. (!?)

The VV is Naval code and reg #169970 comes back to a likely FA/18F Hornet.Fairly new Hornet with that reg number :)
Maybe St Louis Boeing factory test flight.

Thanks for the info. <Hat Tip 🧢>
Boeing test makes sense. I went back to look at the history & it ended up showing that it taxied toward north side of airport....right into ol' M-D land. 😉
