Virginia Task Force 1 Urban Search and Rescue | Facebook
My day job is a Battalion Chief in the Philadelphia Fire Department and I am a Task Force Leader for Pennsylvania Task Force 1.

VA-TF1 is USA -1 and CA-TF2 is USA-2 when activated by USAID. USAID is part of the State Department They are the only international teams in the Federal Urban Search and Rescue System.

When the earthquake occurred both teams were placed on alert and transportation was looked for. Both commercial and military. At this time I just checked with my good friend at VA-TF1. He is not deploying but believes that they are flying out of Dover. Unsure if it is commercial or military. When and if I get the notification I will share their point of departure and air frame.

Virginia TF-1 also sometimes uses Dulles, which is convenient to their HQ and equipment storage. The airport is partially located in their county, Fairfax.

Wow, guess their Facebook page is wrong when they say they departed from Dover and posted photos.

Geez !!! Will somebody in a boat go out and see what that is off the NJ coast. It's driving me crazy

I might end up having to drive up there - nice day drive. Here is another response I have received in regards to this object.

What you sent is not a valid ICAO or a tail number.
As for the information on a non-FAA website, please contact the vendor regarding information on their website. Thanks.
