After listening to the tape, I'm pretty sure the two SATAN's were from Langley and joined the four DEVIL F-16's from NJ. I think that was the case, because they came up with Giant Killer in the beginning through W-122 which is down in Cherry Point, Hatteras area. I'll put the audio up so you can listen in

Thanks for putting up the tape. I checked the LiveATC archives and SATAN 21 (x2) departed from and RTB to KACY. The W-122 traffic sounded like something unrelated. The SATAN flight was never positvely identified as F-16s by ATC, the DEVIL flight was and ATC did call the SATAN flight "company" traffic when talking to DEVIL, also SATAN was instructed to push channel 4 for tower. So unless you have Langley F-22s TDY in ACY using NJ ANG callsigns and button numbers (seems unlikely) I'm pretty sure SATAN was NJ ANG F-16s. Can anyone else confirm they have heard NJ ANG F-16s using 296.900 in the past ?

I can confirm that the DEVIL and SATAN were both 177th fighter groups. I have 296.900 in several older Uniden radios but my own internal list of VHF / UHF frequencies (which includes Ron's fantastic list of information) shows the following - so perhaps the ACY units were working on 296.900 as part of JTAC operations ??

296.900001st FW/94th FS Aux 3 Joint Base Langley
296.90000JTAC HARDROCK, NAS Patuxent River MD

It didn't sound like JTAC. It sounded like standard A-A stuff. At the time they were dogfighting with the DEVIL flight, who sounded like they were the Blue Air team, with one of them simulating DARKSTAR on the 339.725 W107 Common.

While not Milair, it appears a helo is writing "go birds" over PA....

AgustaWestland has a facility near KPNE so on a test flight they are probably just doing the proper business thing to remain in good standing with the city of Philadelphia. Never hurts when you need political favors I guess.

I just caught a glimpse through the trees of an Egyptian military Dassault Falcon 7X landing at KILG. Dassault has a large service facility there but it seems kinda far to travel for the oil change special :)

Just compare the exchange rate on the dollar and you will see the benefits of coming to USA and then the state of Delaware. I remember airlines used to land new aircraft at KILG just so they could take delivery in a tax free state. Land - do the purchase documents on the ground - depart to the main base for entry into the fleet.
