Just compare the exchange rate on the dollar and you will see the benefits of coming to USA and then the state of Delaware. I remember airlines used to land new aircraft at KILG just so they could take delivery in a tax free state. Land - do the purchase documents on the ground - depart to the main base for entry into the fleet.

Very interesting! I never thought of that...

It didn't sound like JTAC. It sounded like standard A-A stuff. At the time they were dogfighting with the DEVIL flight, who sounded like they were the Blue Air team, with one of them simulating DARKSTAR on the 339.725 W107 Common.

I would agree - I guess we need to figure out the what, where and how for the entries on Ron's extensive lists.
Not sure if Ron keeps a running list of the input source - that would be a lot of work. An internet search shows the data is over 12 years old and still very much active. Worse case we can label it "INTERESTING FREQUENCY" - pop some popcorn and enjoy the radio show.

1425- ADS-B showing Tester 14 (T-38C # 674943 NTPS) in low level acty near Williamsburg VA. A little odd since NTPS guys rarely leave the normal PAX areas.

Looks like he departed PAX for Norfolk area - will see where he lands. Looks like Langley

Update - did a touch and go (apparently) nothing coming out of the KLFI LiveATC feed.

Can hear the control on the VHF side talking to him on this feed

Back to Potomac approach and I am sure PAX River

Just watched a great YouTube video done by Chris Lehto that contained live audio with A-A simulation of the balloon shootdown.

Some GREAT stuff gleaned off it, like the missile coming off the rail with the A/C at 50K and M1.3.

Call sign FRANK was in honor of ACE Frank Luke, (Arizona Balloon Buster)

Watching the Pentagon briefing. General says it is an “object” but won’t elaborate. Two F-22s tracked it, one shot it down. Deemed a threat to civilian air traffic because it’s altitude was in the 40,000-foot range.

Actually said unsure of type of aircraft that tracked it at end of briefing. He has to be the best at giving out no info/answers.

It caught a few flights off guard has they had to turn around midflight. Eg: CON 131

Trying to track down some LiveATC comms. Wondering what callsign they used this time ? Who in the USAF came in second after FRANK for shooting down the most balloons ?
