I think a HMLA-773 Viper(s) just flew down the Hudson River. Got strong A/A traffic reception on 264.2 and saw a TIS-B hit coming down the Hudson River from Connecticut.

Also VH-3 HMXONE is flying around in the area of Sikorsky in CT

We seem to have the ability to get those slow moving UFO's but need more work on those speedy
Cone shaped ones that always get away.. :)
Seriously now kind of irks me that Dod says no big deal on that single balloon then reveals there is fleet of them going
around the World and have been for a long time (see BM above news post).. Big Thanks to that Montana resident who spotted that big one and said something. It was probably loaded with rack of old Bearcat 785D scanners :)

Here's all I could find from the LiveATC ZAN/Anchorage archives regarding Balloon (?) 2 the Sequel.

The players. The callsigns are "sounds like to me", any corrections appreciated.

BITE 65 and BITE 63, Tankers
LINK 01, F-22s
SNAKE 01, F-16s
Air Force Rescue 5827, C-130
CATCH 50, unid?

The recording starts around 1530 UTC and is from ZAN/Anchorage sector 15/16 which at the time were combined with ZAN 04, the sector where the shootdown occured. However around 1700 UTC the sectors were split and Sector 04 which is not covered by LiveATC could not be heard.

News says the object was "grey and cylindrical in shape. It appeared to be floating"

I do not know where they received that information.

I heard the exact same thing, and was hoping somebody else did as well. The phrase that I would think is missing from this description is: "...suspended from a balloon." The reports are two missions were sent to figure out what it was, both unsuccessful. Was the object itself a grey, cylindrical balloon? Strange, indeed...

Yes even in Summer gets up to balmy 55 degrees :)
I remember Frank the Alaska pipline news back in the 70's. My older brother graduated as top notch welder Delcastle HS in Del locally
and gave serious thought to going up there to weld on the pipline. It was like the Alaska Gold Oil rush for for pipe welders back then
as economy under Pres Carter was in the tank.. But he got smart and declined .. Now retired locally with Railroad pension :)

1125- Egyptian AF Falcon 700X (SU-BTV) departed from St Louis and transiting our area. Landed at Wilmington DE

I just caught a glimpse through the trees of an Egyptian military Dassault Falcon 7X landing at KILG. Dassault has a large service facility there but it seems kinda far to travel for the oil change special

To make it even more strange this aircraft came from the west

Interesting that it came out of Spirit of St Louis Airport (KSUS), rather than Lambert-St Louis Intl.

More interesting that it came in to KSUS direct from Paris–Le Bourget Airport (LBG/LFPB) back on 07-Feb. 🤔
