BLUE-11 finally showing way offshore seems headed to Cape Cod area.
Sure is moving slow showing at just over 200 knots ground speed so assume bucking some headwinds plus the A-10's.
They departed Lajes abut 20 minutes in front of the Italian fighters.. Prob another hour or so to the Cape.
Guessing A-10's to Dover between 3:30-4:30 PM local.

Coast Guard 6606 out of Atlantic City was poking around waters near Annapolis now headed home..

Around midnight there was a CG HC-130J out of Elizabeth City NC working a low level SAR pattern over the Chesapeake from PAX to Williamsburg areas. Might have been related.

Just had another flight of three Blackhawks out of KILG at 9:20am EDT, following the same flight path as yesterday. ADS-B shows them going straight across NJ so far, just past Vineland, now turning north...
They came overhead my way again same as yesterday, then up the Hudson River. After that I got busy and missed where they went.

11:06 local a TABOR-54 climbing up push Potomac 291.625.
11:36 local TABOR-61 self id as flight of 3 direct Baltimore at 2k. Dover to Martin State?
About this time Kansas Wylie 61,62 tankers came East and picked up someone near Roanoke Va down to 19-20k and headed back West.
Usually that is same pickup spot Langley jets take when headed West but could be DM A-10's.On course for Arizona.

Italian Air Force today -

I was out running errands and replacing food we lost due to the Nor'easter that slammed us with 17.5" of the heavy white stuff and losing power for 23 hours. After shopping, I got home too late to catch anything happening live but I did have the SDR and scanners recording. Here's all I was able to get:

1610z 292.450 1st Cell Typhoons A-A leaving Pease (KPSM) heading West.
1859z 277.975 2nd Cell of fighters and two tankers inbound to Pease from Lajes. Tankers were IAM 1424 & 1425 No fighter callsigns heard.
1903z 267.375 2nd Cell
1909z 276.125 2nd Cell

That's it. Airspy SDR found the three freqs today too. Boy, I wish I had that radio years ago! Since all talk was in Italian, it was hard to distinguish what exactly was being said other than hearing frequencies and altitude callouts. I could definitely tell a difference between the tanker and fighter transmissions. Fighter radios sure sounded like F-35 type. I think someone mentioned the second cell was F-35s so that would make sense. Sorry, I could not make out any fighter callsigns. Hopefully the usual suspects that hang out at Pease often will post some good pictures!

Slightly off topic, but how did you loose the food with no power?
(No, I'm not being going out of my way to be a jerk, just trying to prep for other outages)
Thanks

Both gave big SEE-YA to each other on 260.900
Like that article said CO 120th FS have some of the oldest F-16's in service..
Had one CO tail today #86-0364.. Shaw 55th FS guys complained about their 1991 models as being old.. LOL

79FS out of Shaw had 2 of their F-16s at Tampa AirFest last weekend. One tail was
97-0108 and the other 00-226, both Block 50 jets. I was pretty surprised by the visual differences between those newer Vipers versus the Block 30s I’m used to seeing out of the 177FW. I’d imagine that the Block 50 is also a nicer jet to operate. IMG_3793.jpeg

The fridge had no power for 23 hours. We decided to throw out anything that would start to spoil because the temps got too warm. The items in the freezer and also in the chest freezer in the basement survived just fine as they were never opened and still frozen after the power loss. We were the lucky ones. There are still people in my area that haven't had power since Thursday. There were and still are trees and wires down all over. We've had much help from other states and even Canada sending their power trucks here to help restore power. At the peak of the storm 322,000 were without power in Maine. Last I saw, there is about 12,000 still without power today. Mother nature was not kind.

Yeah the 79th is the top unit at Shaw so no surprise they get the newer block F-16's.. Nice pic!
Not knocking the CO F-16's as they have all the goodies to do CAP work but just old tail wear and tear failures
not related to the new gear.. Rough first weekend for them with 2 tail failures and they got 3 months to go..
Sad part is CO ANG is getting the Martin State A-10 treatment soon.. No new aircraft but will make you guys a Intel Cyber unit.
Course Cyber units can be dismantled quickly and everyone forgets they even had aircraft over a short time.
