Gabreski got their first fairly new HH-60W Pavehawk the other day #19-14497.
The first two are lightly used models like this one from Moody. The rest of the new ones will
come right from Sikorsky factory.

1008- Ftr working Potomac (257.2)>ZDC Bucks Elbow (284.7). At FL260. Callsigns sounds like Talon 04 but I'm not positive I have it correct.

1025- Mussel 2 Flt (3 UH-1s 1st Helo Sqdn UH-1s) working discrete 225.875. Also working Potomac (125.65). Out for a little Sunday morning formation practice?

Last few days seems Dover CP 349.400 is getting deaf or someone not monitoring very well.
Seems inbounds all aircraft calling multiple times (blowing my doors off) before they get a reply.
Maybe the heat :)

Just a WAG, but maybe the extreme heat is causing the UHF freqs to bounce around and maybe the CP isn't hearing them until the right bounce hits their antennas????????

Interesting post from a veteran EAM chaser on another list

1629z 23 Jun 24

Regard the USN E6B deployed to Norway about 3 days ago....

Timeline earlier this UTC 23 Jun 24 day:

0455z IRON 01 (the E6 at Rygge airfield Norway) becomes active on ADS-B receivers; eventually launches; heads northwest toward the Norwegian Sea.

0543z 11175.0 APPLE PIE (presumed IRON 01) calls and raises MAINSAIL to enter the net through the challenge process.

IRON 01 is seen active over the Norwegian Sea along with a USN P8 flying an orbit immediately south of IRON 01's orbit. Both the E8 and the E6B were flying under 20,000 feet; and IRON 01 airspeed was often under 200 knots. No HF voice traffic from APPLE PIE was heard from APPLE PIE during the following.

0704z 11175.0 UNDULATE (daily HFGCS callword) bcsts 30-character EAM (N3HRFT.) European sdrs find N3HRFT being bcst FSK 29.4 Khz. Presumably from IRON 01/APPLE PIE.

0733z 11175.0 UNDULATE bcst a 26-character EAM (N3EKGY.) Word is that this string was also caught on European sdrs on 29.4 Khz.

0834z 11175.LOOKOUT 44 (strong levels on Euro sdr; unknown player) bcst a 26 character EAM N35E22 trailed slightly, and dueled by UNDULATE's bcst of same. Callsigns with EAM traffic such as this are sometimes heard during major exercises in CONUS.

0953z 11175.0 APPLE PIE calls MAINSAIL over a 5 minute period and (in the noise floor) maybe exited the net in the blind.

1053z IRON 01 landed at the Norwegian Rygge airfield.

There are European monitors who may have more detailed information than the above.

All above monitored on ADSBEXCHANGE, FlightRadar24, Utwente sdr and northeast US coast sdrs.

Yes I heard an aircraft calling without a reply and they ended up transmitting their message in blind with getting no reply from the ground.

Yesterday a C-17 gave his inbound message via Dover approach 132.425.. Sounds like a home base UHF problem.
Wonder if their CP VHF radio 134.100 is working. Haven't heard Dover use that one in a while.

Seems better this evening.. WINK-43 gave one 30 min out call and got quick reply :)
Now RCH-1898 inbound from overseas 10 min out. Dover CP tells RCH-175 to relay as they can
hear RCH-1898 but 1898 not hearing Dover CP.. Must be heavy wx moving in not helping.
