Just had a C-17, likely from MRB cross by the house at about 1,700 ft MSL, which is a hundred feet or so higher than the house. Went off in the general direction of Wardensville, WV. This is their usual terrain-avoidance practice route, extended a bit to the south. Nice to have them back. I suspect they've been getting enough operational time lately that they haven't needed the practice runs here.
ADS-B track shows it probably was Decoy 12.

DECOY-12 96-0006 has been out this morning, maybe it's time to paint out the bullseye on your roof.

though they showed pic on a BWI visit some years ago.Maybe will visit Langley someday.

Someone asked about upcoming flyover of Metlife stadium 12PM this coming Saturday
for Navy vs Notre Dame game.. Looks like a good pregame lineup..
Later says flyover crews will be honored between 3rd and 4th quarter so assume the Norfolk E model pilots will
be landing up that way after pre-game flyover. May wait till Monday morning to return though it is early game.
Maybe all the pilots will arrive Friday afternoon for a rehearsal practice and land at station up there?
I'm sure there will be a moment of silence for the two lost EA/18G crewmembers in Wash State..

11:51:30 am - National Anthem, followed by a flyover
• Saturday's fly-over will feature 4 F/A-18E Super Hornets from the "Gunslingers" VFA-105 and the "Rampagers" from VFA-83 based out of Naval Air Station Oceana, Virginia Beach, Va. Piloting the lead aircraft of the four-ship will be former Navy football player Lt. Cmdr. Travis "Sunshine" Keating USNA Class of 2013. The wing aircraft will be piloted by Lt. Cmdr. Robert "Fat Goose" Nelson, Class of 2012, Lt. Cmdr. Britton "Beavis" Girard and Lt. Matthew "Pool Boy" Baugh, Class of 2018. Providing ground control and support will be Cmdr. Travis "Sweet T" Amerine from the Class of 2005.
• The "Gunslingers" and "Rampagers" returned home in July from a 9-month combat deployment in the Central Command Area of Responsibility (AOR) attached to Carrier Air Wing Three (CVW-3) onboard the USS Eisenhower.
11:54 am - Parachute Jumpers will leave plane.
12:01 pm - Parachute Jumpers land on the field.
12:03:20 pm - Navy will take the field with Notre Dame to follow.
12:07 pm - Kickoff

2040 local FLAM-55 on 311.000 says departing McGuire...
FLAM-55 #21-46090
FLAM-56 #21-46060
Both headed East for the Pond. FLAM is usually a ACC support callsign.
Maybe a Global Thunder exercise drill. Now headed Northeast.
2104 local FLAM-55 flight already with ZBW Cape sector talking about a hold in the area.
2109 FLAM-55 says awaiting FLAM-57 for all 3 aircraft for the Reach aircraft.
There is a Pittsburgh KC-135 catching up #58-0112 at FL-290.FLAM-55 says will be the lead aircraft.

For C-17 (04-4132) RCH4601. The same C-17 made a 15hr+ flight from Turkey to Albuquerque on Monday, required multiple tankers. ;)
Thanks yeah no doubt a 62AW crew on a last assigned McGuire C-17 doing Hazmat swap out of NATO ordinance to Incirlik.
Interesting recent article by FAS who obviously despise hazmat like this but track them as well.
No big secret that is why they allow tracking etc.. They sure take odd routes back and forth to avoid overflying Canada and most European countries.Prob why need for all the extra tankers not to mention they are pretty heavy cargo.
One reason many NATO countries have chosen the F-35 as they can carry one of these bad boys internally as well.
