E-4B SLICK-99 #75-0125 inbound Andrews it seems.Never heard that E-4B callsign before 
The other E-4B #73-1677 looks inbound Wright Pat as well.Guess both getting ready for a big Monday.

I believe they are on there own, except for official functions (former POTUS attending inaugurations, State Funerals, etc)

I checked the last 2 inaugurations and this is the first out of 3 that we've had an E-4B in D.C. for the inauguration.
I don't think anything is up, otherwise we wouldn't have seen them. They do fly dark.

Hmmm, so I'm not following. The Bidens are departing DC tomorrow to go to Vandenberg? For what and for how long? I can't seem to find any news about this detail-wise. I guess it's just as well they're not coming to KILG as it's supposed to be bitter cold and the idea of hanging around out there wasn't especially appealing to me in an attempt to capture the arrival, but...

President Trump to California on Friday, looks like a LAX to LAS trip, with possible stop in Asheville NC on the way. More info to follow.
This happens every time the current president is replaced by a new one. The now former president is given one last ride to a destination of their choice after the inauguration. Does not matter where - it is a courtesy provided to the former president. In this case they are heading out for vacation (or in their case retirement). Once the new POTUS is sworn in - they become private citizens but with USSS protection unless they wave that option. Same with Clinton, Bush Jr and Obama - they have USSS protection since they know stuff we do not want the bad guys to find out.
Yeah on the new procedures - sounds like they missed the memo - heard it was put out a few months ago.

It's been done, Carter flew commercial to Trump's first inauguration. Bidens are going to California on vacation at some private home. Forget whose, but there were mentions in the news.
A current president has some discretion to dispatch a USAF jet to transport a former president. I doubt that's written into the law, but it probably wouldn't be questioned.
