Since the crash is civilian can we please keep it in the thread about the crash and leave this thread for military traffic. Thanks

Although I agree that crash related posts go to the appropriate thread.... It was an Army helicopter, and man is it going to mess up the routine military helicopter flights that had been occuring. We should keep an eye out for new routes.

Thanks
Joel

Looking out for new routes is one thing, I do not disagree, but further discussion about the accident would better be done in the main thread. Also, I doubt there will be much of a change in routes as everyone who usually uses that route appears to have been given an exemption to the halt in helo traffic, based on the link posted above.

from plane crash near Mall. :(
I take it that jet has Mexican Reg Apex?

Here comes US envoy who just departed from Venezuela meeting. Wonder how he made out. Venezuela refuses to take

Apologize for the OT post, the aircraft in question is a Learjet 55 XA-UCI. Departed RWY24 KPNE. Appears to be a medical aircraft?

Discussions on this incident in this thread.

The USCG helicopter unit actually at DCA wasn't exempted for routine training. Hopefully they will be able to resume soon enough, I don't know how much proficiency training they need.
(IAW the letter of the link that was posted, they grounded except for emergencies only).

Thanks
Joel
