This is a list I have used as needed over the past 5 years.
All the freqs should be voice only.
Don't let the fact there is 3,813 freqs on this list scare you.
Set up enough Systems and Groups to scan the list.
You have any question PM or e-mail me.

Thanks for sharing BMT. It seems most of the MilAir fans like to keep their lists a secret.

Listen, log, lookup, repeat.
You are listening for callsigns like "FANG" etc. Then ask Google who they are.
Some record their milair scanner traffic just to help log and identify.

Half the fun is figuring it all out!

I beg to differ..

On of the biggest downsides to monitoring milair is the idea of spending hours scanning freq's
that have no activity.
It would be extremely helpful if the response to,,,-Dose anyone have a (insert scanner model here)
file for milair for my location..and the response was Yes,heres something to get you started,,rather
than,,search these bands..and wait for the SQ to break..

With PS,FIRE,PD,EMS.. monitoring we have a Vast DB with all the info we could ask for to get us up
and running, scanning and lots of help to get the radios dialed in for best RX...When is comes to
milair..its...Theres the pool,Jump in and see if you can swim..

I do wish the milairers( thats not even a word..lol) were a lil more helpful rather than sitting on their
DBs like it was Curleys Gold..

A nice list. Scenario / Example = 261.600 AM is an east coast freq as well as a west coast freq. It could be used by a unit in Texas, as well as in Pennsylvania. I have ran across that scenerio before.

ARE there any freqs on the list that are dedicated - Such as AWACS - JStars - Combat Control (USAF)?

If you have a verified list.....Keyword is "Verified".... for MILAIR Frequencies for Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia.....I would appreciate it if you would email it to me at this website.

I stress Combat Air Patrol Units and tankers ( I have listened to AR 220 and AR 455 ( S/E Pennsylvania and Northeast Kentucky )

I have found that even though this is RR.COM ( Not meaning to be degrading - derogative ) I have received inaccurate frequency information.

It is easier with a scanner that has a Alpha- Numeric display that shows the entity the radio freq is for.....Like the single, one and only "Air Intercept" frequency...for when they "Squak" Quad sevens
( 7777 ) and hug the ground....at about 2000 feet AGL.

You can Google the state you live in and the radio frequency.....and most times it will appear whom it goes to. OR with time...google surrounding states around you and the frequency.

Or Google "Radioreference.com" and the frequency.

In desperation Google "MILAIRCOMMS.Com" and the radio frequency and it will appear....most generally.

I have a bank of 17 BC780XLTs running 24/7 searching around 10 MHz chunks each. The system will pull out anything that is in receive range of my AO within 2 seconds. I still don't have a good idea what I'm listening to. I just plug what I find into the main proscan feed radio. It's nearly impossible to figure out what the actual frequency is designated for or to who it belongs to in the area.

Constantly searching is the best experience you can have. When the "balloon goes up" one of the first things that will happen per OOB and COMSEC procedures is that every frequency will be changed.

I'm going to attempt to answer all your question with 1 reply.
When putting this list together I took out SATCOM, WIDEBAND and ILS.
These 3 use about another 3,000 plus freqs.
That's why this list should be voice comms only.

There is a lot of freqs that the Navy uses on both coast that are only active when
an aircraft carrier is doing a TSTA or COMPUTEX.
Look at my September logs posted yesterday.
Any log with "CVN-71 TSTA" will be used during either exercise.
WAG there are hundred's of these freqs.
Sometimes they use freqs logged or new freqs.
Enough to make your hair hurt!! ;-)

Now start thinking "FUNCTION" and "USER"
ATC
COMMAND & CONTROL
TACTICAL

Tactical freqs are usually used for 90 day or less.
COMMAND & CONTOL are used to accomplish the mission.
NORAD, Air Refueling, Base Ops/Cmd Post, AWACS, Air-Air.

I have to disagree with your post.
When the "balloon goes up" they will use secure comms.

A little more on ATC comms.
The ARTCC freqs posted here on RR are about as accurate as any list on line.

You want all the freqs in one place.
Then go here a buy a copy.
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G0683GG
Since this was published there has been very few changes.

ZJX Jacksonville FL ARTCC
120.125/354.075 Charleston SC (CHS) Sector 51-New Knemo Ultra High Alt (ex-307.050 MHz)
120.200/346.400 Crestview FL (CEW) Sector 10-Crestview Low Alt

This is what you'll see for each ARTCC.
Price of $2.99 is a steal.
Yes I have a copy!

YEP you can get the same info on line for freq.
Is the info current?

Not sure what you're referring to here, but at least for MOA, AR, and NORAD exercises...I've been listening to the same VHF and UHF freqs for quite a long time.
