Thunderbirds in town for the airshow. A WIANG tanker brought them in. T-Birds on 235.25 and 149.65 so far. Possible Airboss on 133.85.

133.85 is airboss for Air Venture. Thunderbirds did flyover today, so that might be the boss you heard them talking to.
Definitely could have been. Heard it referenced as Airboss on the AA and no traffic after.
T-Bird 8 did a flyby of Oshkosh yesterday.

Briefly caught comms on 121.375 during Thursday's familiarization event.
This was used during the 2023 as Airboss Frequency.
Might be useful to throw it in the scan list.

Also from 2023: 122.125 Common Air Discrete was used for the civilian aircraft

Is 229.125 correct? Or is it 228.125 MI KC-135's JEEP flight A/A.

Anybody know if Volk sells a patch for NORTHERN LIGHTNING?

Well, maybe 229.125 is correct. I do know 228.125 is the MI guys and it was in use. My weekly log and database have 229.125, so either it was in use or I typo-ed 228 to 229.

The lodging desk was out of the NL patches as of around noon today. They still had the Volk 70th anniversary ones, though.

Prior to the morning go, Phoenix asked a Brewer (correction: Upset) tanker to test on 377.0, which they did. After that, there was a lot of talking which almost sounded like a ground-to-air type communication (as I was driving north on I-90; recorders to the south of Volk didn’t catch any of it).

Any chance any of these have shown up around Wisconsin?

Thanks
Joel
I've seen them on the flight tracking websites, but they seem to be staying around Alpena. They look like mini Cirrus SF-50 jets.

I also found these 2 playing over the water east of Alpena.

Finally, I found this guy circling near the R-4201 Grayling Range. When I saw him by the range & didn't click on him yet. I thought to myself, what the heck is a TUCA? After clicking on him it made sense. A Tucano.

Thanks for posting that article about the JSF aircraft. I did hear the E-3 BANDSAW mention only a 3rd of the Cruise Missiles were showing up.
